thats the idea, the update on a V1 says 100% compatibility and fixes the DRE's and read speed.

So does that 100% refer to game or console compatability?

quoted from "teamcyclops.com"

"- Perfect compatibility (100% of games are working) "

Hey guys,

I just want to make sure that the update will work on a v1 cyclowiz and that it will fix the problems with the speed of the drive and the DRE problems that have been reported...

... i just recieved the v1 today (havn't installed yet) but I am also getting a v2 wiinja and want to know which one would be the better install...

So my question is, will the update work on v1, and will it essentially fix the problems that v1 had and make it work like v2?

Thanks.

From what Ive read, that is exactly right. All those problems should be no more.

I am guessing it will not add D2B compatibility if flashed on an older chipset, upgraded, removed, and reinstalled?

It probably would actually, I dont think any hardware changes were made?

Someone correct me if im wrong

If it could I would assume they would not have released a new chip that supports D2B which is inconvenient to resellers and end consumers, and also gives bad publicity. They would have just provided a dvd update then and there..... I hope it will make it D2B compatible, but I don't know...

I guess it's the same HW, BECAUSE: If you have D2B and they still shipped the old software on the chip, how would you make the update-disc booting, to make it updating your modchip to D2B compatibility while installed in a D2B-Wii (except of installing it in an Old-Chipset-Wii, updating, moving to your Wii again ;)

So they updated software to D2B comp and call it V2 and now new features arrive for all cyclowiz-chips (cause the are HW-ident) making them 100% equal again

At least noone said there would be different updates per version
