Anyone have any experience in hacking game saves? Just curious if anyone has tried hex editing any PSP game saves and to what extent was the success'failure?

You can hexedit the saves, but the only thing i can see from the saves is the name of the game. Wouldnt be much use in messing with that. You can also change the picture for the game save, which again, has no point. To get any real affect such as cheats or anything by editing the gamesaves would take quite a while cuz u would have to edit, then go back into the game and see if anything in ur save changed, rinse and repeat. More than likely you'll just end up corrupting the save a bunch of times, but hey, that's what backups are for :p

Or if you are experienced. You read some tutorials at hkems.
http://www.hkems.com/
Then click on "Save file education".
Sure there are way better tutorials somewhere. But I only know this one by heart. =)
Another way is to make a backup of the save. Do something small in the game. get a time better. Or take a coin. And see what have changed. Then try to change these values and see what happens in game.

Thanks, I have never really messed with any hex editors so I am a little lost but heck worst think that could happen is a corrupt savedata, which I will have backed up prior...
Im not even sure if these savedata are encrypted or not...

you can unlock all items before actually playing the game and things like that when hacking game saves.
