My cyclowiz is unopened. Do you really think they will be able to fix the disc speed or should I send it back???

They will have an update within a week, why not just see what they offer before returning it? I only have minor probs with mine, namely skipping video on fmv sometimes and cod3 doesn't work, and they promised to fix those in the update so I'm pretty confident they will. If they lied, then nothing gets fixed, I may have to join you in buying another chip.

I have been hearing a lot of talk about cyclowiz not being upgrade
and I would rather have a chip that doesnt need a switch.

From Wiikey.cn official site...
Partial support for NTSC region Wii games/backups on PAL consoles
It is about 70% compatability according to Modchipstore.

lol, just another example of a the chip being shoved down our throats being stomped by competition. I'll be placing an order for the wiikey next week for sure.
NTSC -> PAL feature, that is just insane.
If I were you, I would return the Cyclo asap!

its changing ntsc to pal it wont go vice versa. Ntsc to pal isnt hard especially because pal supports 50hz and 60 where as ntsc is only 60

I cancelled me order for the cyclowiz when I heard about the wiikey beeing released. For me the wiikey seems to be the better choice right now, but that might ofcourse change tomorrow :). I'm going to wait another week before I decide which chip to go with.

That's what I'm doing. I have an uninstalled cyclowiz sitting here, and I have a Wii Key preordered. If team cyclops comes out with a update before my Key arrives I'll install It. If not, I have a friend that will buy my cyclowiz and I'll install the Key.

Sent it back this morning. I really hope Wiikey lives up to the hype. All I want is a chip to play backups that doesnt have slow down and is upgradeable without having to wire a switch to it.

Most chips have switches and now that systems are upgradeable its probably best to cut all ties to the chip until a flash is necessary

According to the specs Wiikey has an on off feature and recovery mode so that shouldnt be an issue.
