Wich µC is the winnja ?
I heard about 12f629 and in the disassembly they talk about 14 bits IC ?

and most important...is it V1 or v2 wiinja hex?
manyak

this hex contains same data as "syndicate-suxx" from Wab.

V1 is the one that got leaked so it's problem the V1 hex with the disk read error.

Thks, was just leaving to buy a 16f629 & programmer :D
If it works can you post the fuse / OSC combination wich works if different from the one in the .hex ?

this work?
Pacotera
02-23-2007, 09:47 AM
Didnt work, but when i tried to burn the pic it asked for a oscilator value, i used the default but i dont think its the right one
also i used the ground form another place but shouldnt be a proplem since it was the place i used for the db25 mod

do you have tried the oscillator value :intOSC GP4?
And read calibration from your pic and add it to the hex before burn?

Idont have experience with pics, how do you change the value?

Which program do you use and what type of programer do you have JDM?

When I open the .hx with ICProg it sets the OSC to RC ClkOUt automatically, but I think it's a wrong setting, must be INTOsc no ?
jeff80

I Think that you have to choose intosc gp4.... don't forget to read your chip to have the calibration value.

I never used such a thing before (only programmed 16f877), what does the calibration value is used for (sorry for my english, i'm french :D)

A friend of mine will try it too, so if him het it to work , maybe i got some bad connnection (wich i dont think so cause i was booting backups with the dvdtool method)

Thanks a lot, hope the wiiskas/wiip will be relased soon :D

pacotera...
you have to read your blank pic to have the calibration value... Read your pic and Goto line 03F8xH you will have something like this 3fff 3fff 3fff... and at the end of the line, something like 3450 or 345c. take this value in note and open the hex file when its done go to line 03F8xH and replace the 3FFF by the value you have read from your pic. After click on programe all. You will have a message like the message on your picture then click yes.

I did that, the calibration value was 3488 from the pic i just bought, but nonetheless , stilll didt load the backup...
Will wait for a friend of mine who will be trying this today

Downloaded the hex from this thread before it was removed.
Quickly gave it try and loaded the hex in a 12f629. Luckily I had already placed my Wiinja in socket so it was easily exchanged. No luck so far ...
Obviously I am interested in what others find out.
Something completely different but maybe interesting although I need to investigate further:
I have a Wiinja v1 and had a lot of DRE's (very annoying);
I have patched the DVDTool with the Syndicate-sux bins. I had sync errors so I installed the Capicitator. BTW based on the Syndicate-sux I could succesfully reprogram the WAB Iso loader ;-)
Anyways: I don't have any DREs on my orignal Wiinja v1. I assume it is the capacitor.
Cheerz.

What OSC setting have you put ?
Pacotera

Its on the screenshots
well, its not any bridge or anything like that...
Just solded the flat cable from the db25 connector into some pins and inserted on the socket (that i solded for wiinja hex) and working fine
was playing red steel a while ago
so must be the hex

:/
By the way, we now have something to start working (with Wad / syndicate codde too) and maybe achieve to do this "open source" modchip :D

I used "IC-Prog" to program the 12F629.
Settings are:
- Oscillator: IntOSC GP4 (setting on my orignal Wiinja v1);
- Only PWRT option checked (Power Up Timer Enabled);
- Read the orignal Oscillator value of my empty pic (@ 0x3FF : 0x342C);
- Pasted my value (0x342C) in the wiinja.hex
- succesfully wrote en verified it to the empty pic;
- swapped working Wiinja v1 with programmed Pic via socket (small);
- no luck.
Any ideas?
Fake hex? I doubled checked (just like (manyak) earlier in this thread) and this hacks contains the same code as found in syndicate-suxx release. That code is real since I succesfully fed it into the dvdtool source code to run just like the syndicate iso loader version of dvdtool. I will try and run it by a disasmbler (any tips) and verify it makes sense. I don't trust the dissambler output earlier in this thread since it is 14bits (like bgmnt pointed out).
Thanks.

Has any one had any form of success programing their own chip from this, yet? And is this against forum rules? Why did someone post that we shouldnt be really talking about this...

PM i received this afternoon
Have disassemble the hex using MPLAB,
but its not for a PIC12F629 OR a fake!
(Example its have a call to 0x4E5 thats not even in the 12F629 adress range!)
More info soon.. ;)

Hi,
Its a fake.
Why?
First its not for a PIC processor, second thats the only code - if not just junk!, in the hex..
:10000000 8A08 F5C8 D7FF FBF5 C0D7 FFFB F335 F509 24
:10001000 80F5 CAD7 FF03 F501 7FD6 FFE9 E524 F321 78

:10005000 00E8 0CFD AAFF 01D0 01D7 FFE9 F6EA DDF5 C3
:10006000 05FA FFFE
Not enough to write the serial routines needed..
All the other stuff in the hex file is just 3 x "WAB sniffed MN102 drivechip code"

Heres a pic of of the so called wiinja hex that was leaked, that I found.
Looks like it could be real but still probably fake.

Thats also a fake.
Point one:
The opcodes are for a PIC12C50x..
Point two:
Someone have edited the hex with "WII WII WII hack"+more
so the code does not work right..
Point three:
Its communicate with diffent ports than Wiinja
Point four:
Its does not have any MN102 drive code..
Fake or for something other..
