PSP Updates

Been a while since i posted. Ok, here goes, more insider info from the industry. According to an email sent to the company I work for, [insert major game retailer here], the upcoming psp update will have many great features! Sony will be releasing its own full fledges internet browser, a text-to-speech program, e-mail reader, a word proccessing program, and a spreadsheet program. I'm guessing to do the later, the some sort of drivers would have to be included for use for keyboards and such as well in order for it to be worth it at all. There are some rumors also flying around for compatability with external storage devices such as usb memory devices or maybe even those macro drives! A couple of gigs of memory would be great. Whether or not they will be releasing this update on UMDs or by download is not confirmed yet either.

Dang too much happening with this thing. Can't wait for the update and see the other possibilities this little system can do.

As usual, Sony just replies with the usual time constraint of "soon", so expect to see it soon i guess. As far as when soon is, prolly in the time span of 3 months is my guess which would put it smack down in the middle of E3 time (which i'll be attending this year :D ). The chance of Sony putting the update out at an additional cost is probably the case and most likely will be at a $19.99 price point. Hopefully they will offer it through the psps network update feature as well.
