New Star Wars heading to PS3 and Xbox 360

The latest issue of US based magazine Game Informer has revealed that a new Star Wars game will be coming to both the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game will be called Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - perhaps the force of the PS3 will be demonstrated too :).


Star Wars is heading to next generation consoles (yes we're shocked too), with LucasArts' UK distributor Activision today confirming reports that a PS3 and Xbox 360 adventure is in development.

It will be called Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, having been unveiled in the latest issue of US magazine Game Informer, and will focus on the Dark Side, taking place between Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope.

How so? It'd be just like any other Wii game really. To use the Lightsaber, you swing the Wiimote. To block a lightsaber, you hold the Wiimote up in a blocking manner, etc. And it'd be the same way on the normal controllers. I love some of the Star Wars games, but another one? V_V It better be something creative like Lego Star Wars was. But what annoys me the most is the fact it has the word "Unleashed" in it. That just pisses me off, though it could be nice if they made a mature rated Star Wars game. Where you can chop your opponents limbs off and watch them instantly cartarize. Hehe...that'd be fun.

Oh yeah, I remember seeing this clip on G4 during the E3 segments. It looked awesome, unfortunately it's all pre-rendered and will never look that good, let alone play that smoothly.
