A UK reader mailed in to let us know that his local Tesco store has now stocked their gaming peripheral shelves with gear made exclusively for them under the 'Tesco' brand. An interesting find was the 'Tesco Wired Xbox 360 controller' for just under £20. He noted that there was no other third party accessories available and everything come under their own brand. Also noted that that leading high street retailer GAME had no THIRD PARTY stock in either and only had their own brand, with all the great third party products available should UK retailers offer more choice to the consumer?

it looks like total shite quality from the picture. £20 is too much.

isnt taking photos in a shop illegal? i thought it would be treated as company espionage!

But is that really a store only product? I know here in the US GameStop has done the same thing with their cables, controllers, etc. The design of the controller in the pic looks familiar so I'd bet it was actually manufactured by a company like Mad Catz or someone similar and just packaged for that particular store.

Why would anyone bother when a MS wired pad is £17? (unless they fixed the dpad without screwing the rest of the pad)

Doesn't look like a good controller to me, i'd just go for an original.
I've bought a lot of third party gamepads, a lot of them are bad quality remakes, good if you're only gonna use it for multiplayer, but don't use something like that as main controller.

The only really cheap but good quality gamepads i found were from a company named bigben, really cheap stuff, great quality. i have bigben gamepads for gamecube, cheaper and actually better than the original ones

I'm not sure, you can probably find it online. I bought one of them in holland and 1 in germany. just as cheap as the real low quality third party products, but not with the low quality cheap plastic.
