View Full Version : The Best Sreenshot of Crackdown - The Halo 3 Beta Invite!
Shizzle Games has received their copy of Crackdown for review purposes. Now for the interesting part, they snapped an image of the Halo 3 beta invite that that majority of gamers will be buying Crackdown for! It is also worth mentioning that if you wish to play Halo 3, you must do so from INSIDE Crackdown.

What a ripoff. Not only do they try and force you to buy a shite game with the offer of a beta version for another game but it will only be for a limited time as well.
Ive played crackdown from live already and no way in hell would i be spending my $ on that game. It might have some interesting points and some grown up subjects but it felt like a kiddies game to me. Deleted it almost immed. from my hdd.

Kinda a bonehead move to not require a Key or Code #, now anyone who burns a copy of CD can play their BETA too. And I hope by limited time they dont mean the game will only be playable during certain times IE (Sun-Wed 6p-10p Pacific). That'd just blow.
Unlike the poster above me tho I'm looking foward to some Co-op good times.

Once you've downloaded the Halo 3 Beta, you can play the game by choosing Play the Halo 3 Beta on the Main menu of Crackdown.
Nope, says just the opposite I'm afraid.

this whole Halo 3 beta thing completely undermines the value of Crackdown as a game by itself
reminds me of that time when people bought Tobal No.1 for psone just for the FF7 demo

Though not many people are happy, am I the only one who thinks that's awesome? Not that they make it limited, but is this the first time that the main menu of a game has ever changed due to availability on the internet? But this is very good news for the people with Flashed 360's.

I might just flash my 360 then so i can burn a copy of crackdown and play the Halo 3 beta, it woud have been nice if people who dont live in america could have got in the beta without paying for a game :(

Nah, I dont want to play the Beta long term, just curious how it looks in action and if theres anything interesting going on gameplay wise. I dont mind waiting for the full game after I get a quick test drive.

You all know exactly why they did this, so people wouldn't be selling their invite on fleabay.

Either that or they wanted to hook everyone up who has a flashed DVD Drive. Maybe microsoft is rewarding us for the initiative shown to open up the console and put different firmware on the DVD Drive.
or
It could be a trap.
