Ok here's the situation. I have a ceramic white PSP from Japan, but I live in Pittsburgh, PA. (For those who want to know why: I wanted one.)

I searched to see if I could but a non-TA-082 MB in my PSP but it seems someone tried it and it didnt work. (http://forums.maxconsole.net/archive/index.php/t-32925.html last post)

So then I thought, if I could get a new TA-082 MB I could use the new downgraders on it and it would be as good as a non-TA-082.

Thing is, I'm not really sure if that would be all that I would need.

Answers would be very appreciated.

Thanks

it should be fine. the only thing i have found is that several components are somewhat tied to the ta-082 board.

for example, using a wifi board from the lower boards 79-81 do not work with the 82 likewise the 82 wifi will not work with the lowerboards.

also the shielding plate under the mobo is specific to the 82 board and will stop a lower model board working if it's placed onto that 82 model shield.

thanks, but i think im going to try to find a functional psp with a scratched/cracked screen instead. and then just put the white case on it.
