LOL: PS3 Ads Splattered all over Xbox 360 Soccer Game

It seems as if the PS3 will score some free advertising on the Xbox 360. But how you may ask? Well, EA is bringing an official UEFA champions league soccer game to the Xbox 360. It just so happens that Sony are a big sponsor of the actual tournament and as part of the licensing deal, EA most likely had to include the banners.

Well, it would seem this early announcement screenshot was no one-off. Soon after we receive preview code from EA and as we quickly begin playing and taking screenshots it becomes very much apparent that the PlayStation 3 ads are still there, taking up space within a game that is not only running on an Xbox 360 but isn’t actually due out on PS3 at all.

Either UEFA is forcing them to depict stadiums accurately or EA just couldn't sell ad space there... yet. EA doesn't care about making it more real, they would make the field out of weed instead of grass if they could find a sponsor for that.

:eek: thats funny... not that I could say about zues.... but funny sittuation to be in.. in trying to make the game, m$ had a choice between advertising for your rival or make a hot game.... kind of ironic :D

In the Champions League Sony, Ford, Amstel Beer, MasterCard and a few others have major sponsorship deals even coming down to the fact that if your team are playing at home in a CL tie your club has to cover every bit of sponsorship with 'approved' UEFA CL sponsorship that they provide.

As the PS3 is part of that deal then it wouldnt have been officially licenced by UEFA had they not kept in the proper sponsorship.

Its a strange thing about this game, I havent seen anything at all about it here it must be exclusive to North America.

I remember when Arsenal was sponsored by Dreamcast and FIFA '99 (?) didn't have proper sponsor jersey logo. The other clubs were correctly sponsored tho. Wouldn't/Shouldn't that hav eviolated the UEFA licensing?

Im a Manchester United Fan and I would have bought an Arsenal Shirt if it had Sonic on the shirt!

But yeah, they had the PS3 ads before it got delayed and now it has PSP ads. but this is funny!

Well there is a bit of a difference there.

You are talking about 1 team's sponsorship not the whole game.

Arsenal's sponsorship was between them and Sega. The UEFA CL sponsorship is between all the partners and UEFA.

Contrarily to so many males, I, don't like a lot the gichis of kick, I find them boring, once learned some tricks, the game becomes monotonous and equal.

However I believe that for graphics and simulation the best remains always For Evolution Soccer (Winning Eleven Jpn).

I don't see this as a big deal at all, if they are playing the game they have already bought a 360 and the game unless its a rental so right there Microsoft has a console sale and 1 attachment.

Geography and politics are two different things entirely.

I might live in Europe but I am not European in any way shape or form. The Germans couldnt take Europe by force in 2 World Wars but they are trying hard to take it by politics with the equally treacherous French. All they want is Britain's money, her prosperity they dont want her people and that suits me just fine.

I wouldnt trust them as far as I could throw them.

Anyway this is a videogames forum not a political one.
