Is Max Console deleting some news they don't like now, or was this an honest glitch? I am more than willing to give the benefit of the doubt. I see these news reported in several media elsewhere has gone unreported here, and then some wonder why they are accused of bias.

MS have made one huge, huge mistake this gen and its been just the one. It was when they dumped the XBox before its time. Thus alienating 24m owners at a stroke and leaving them high and dry. That was a HUGE mistake and has probably lead to owners of XBox not buying a 360 because of the short lifespan of the XBox.

Its not any other reason than that. Its certainly not because of the PS3 looming on the horizon or the Wii however innovative it is. The PS2 remains profitable and so would the XBox if MS had given it a proper chance and allowed people to migrate naturally rather than forcing them to adopt early.

Because it DID ship as much as expected and the stock has nothing over how well the 360 is doing...Sony's stock went up awhile ago too but they haven't sold many PS3's. Nintendo's stock is still pretty high up there and hasn't moved, despite them selling millions of Wiis. So in the end, he posted it just to try and get a stab at MS. Without really even thinking about what has really happened with the 360, not to mention taking a shot at MC because like all Sony fanboys on this site, he thinks that MC is making the PS3 look worse then it actually is but the truth is, it's just not doing that well.

ie there are tons of 360s sitting in stores doing nothing. so theres no reason to ship a bunch more when they arnt being snatched up as fast as they thought.

That's interesting considering I have a 360 and not a PS3. But regardless, why is this not posted? These news were everywhere. I mean if you are going to report that the PS3 is selling so bad Target was making new titles $40 - when it was just a sale of titles- having the same titles on 360 cost exactly the same - $40 (it was a sale for both machines), and you post that and not this, what does that say?

Believe it or not, Maxconsole doesn't post every tid-bit of news except for Anti-MS news. I have posted several news articles that weren't posted by MC that were and weren't MS related. I honestly think the mods that they've made recently haven't done **** in a lot of areas. There need to be people that post news made into moderators.

That's despite the fact the company sold 10.4 million consoles by the end of December, up from its goal of 10 million units.

so these 13-15m units were planned to be shipped before the end of june. and that number is now down due to high store stocks. which comes from them selling(shipping) 10.4m and they arnt all being bought.

So in other words...no ****. But if you really think that 1 week means anything, you're not taking in the fact that it took at least a week for the numbers to get in. So by the time they got those numbers, it could have reached 10 million sold before January 1'st.

Listen, this is very simple. Here's how the article starts and what the news are:

UNSOLD inventories in stores. Things that are in the store and are not selling. If they expected to ship more and they lowered what they are going to ship, it's because the machine is not selling as they expected. This is pretty simple really.

Here is something more simple for you mate.

MS have sold 10 times the amount of consoles that Sony has.

Sony will not pick up that 9m deficit this year whilst MS will continue to sell 360s.

Once you get a lead in this business its hard to lose it especially if you keep pumping out great software and stealing your competition's exclusives. Just like MS are doing.

Its made even easier by your competition's complete lack of understanding of pricing and its failure to respect other territories like Europe by INCREASING the price of its white elephant.

Add the fact that you need to spend (here in the UK anyway) the best part of $3000 to get a 1080p and it doesnt look good for the competiton.

I know that everyone of you fanboys are just waiting on Sony exploding and selling millions of consoles but it isnt going to happen. The machine itself is far too expensive for what it does and for that alone it deserves to fail.

If I wanted to spend a huge amount of money on a games machine I would buy a PC complete with a 26" widescreen monitor 4GB of RAM and the best Processor and Graphics Card money could buy.

Sure it will be a lot more expensive than a PS3 but it would pump out visual goodness that the PS3 could only dream of for years to come.

And Sony have been on top for so long they need to remember how to win a fight all over again, but this time they are not up against smaller competitor(s) who they can bully like they were in 1994 and 1999 with the PS1 and PS2 respectively. They are up against the biggest company in the world and one, who, despite all their flaws have done it so right this time. MS will also continue to throw money at the 360 and any successors until they win, its the MS way of doing things, everyone knows that. And sooner or later Sony will need to take a step back because they cannot compete dollar for dollar with MS.

I believe that the PS3's current woes could be attributed to the exact same problems that killed the Saturn all those years ago.

Its a mix of arrogance and overpricing just the way the Saturn was.

I love the way I am portrayed as a fanboy as well. I engage in debate thats all. I hate Sony not for their consoles because but for their arrogance and attitude that they can peddle anything at any price and people will buy it. They got away with it with the PS2, hopefully they wont get away with it this time. Incidentally, I have had some of my best gaming moments on Sony hardware.

I have been playing videogames since the late 70s in various guises. I have owned such gems as a Magnavox Odessey, 'Wood' 2600, ZX81, Atari 800XL, TurboGrafx, Neo Geo CD and even a Jaguar as well as owning almost every other console from any of the big manufacturers over the last 20 years.

There and many on here will not accept anything bad being said about Sony when in truth they know nothing about the company beyond the brand that they see.

Even though Raist3d has been the one to criticize MC for news judgement, he is correct.

As a news blog site, MC is not forced to be unbiased in anyway because there is no one watching the site (I.E. Society watches news organizations and makes sure they are kept in check). Blog News sites are not hindered by the many rules that other Journalistic Media has to abide by.

That said, where he is correct is that MC should try to keep it's opinions limited (they are a blog site and thus allowed to comment, but it should be for the readers to criticize the most). MC should instead report any news, good and bad, that should happen to any console, tech, company, etc.

Sure in no place does that say, unbiased or one-sided, but even the simplist of web-surfer would first believe this site to be less biased than other sites, such as (and Mods delete this if necessary) Xbox-scene and PS3News.

MC should report ALL news whilst dis-regarding console favoritism. ALL, not just good nor bad, but every bit.

When it begins to do this, MC's reputation will go from being a "fanboy-ish" site to a credible one.

I come to MC for the fact that it has various forums of interest to me. Most of the posts I dont agree with, but thats life. I dont take all the baggage around with me just because I dont agree what Zeus says half the time. You should be congratulating him for giving you the chance to air your views on a platform, not berating him for not having the same viewpoint as you.

No, that's what you think, and if that's what you think I am sorry. You can look up and learn what that is, it's hardly super complex to know. So no, I am not throwing it because I want to "prove" my "superior intellect" (your assumption, not mine). This is what the term applies to, this is what it describes, hence I use it. If you know of a "common" way to say the same thing by all means teach me and I'll use that instead.
