sound no picture

firstly i cracked the old screen so replaced with a new one with a backlight i no this works as tried in a friends but all i get is sound and no picture i was told it could be the backlifgt fuse and by bridging this it should solve the problem but no joy i have noticed that the wifi amber light keeps flashing all the time could this be the problem and how would i solve it thanks

the wifi light is green, the memory stick is the amber light so most probably you will be loading a game or movie of the memorystick, thats why it will be flashing. and to what i can remember, well from what i were told, is there not a "ribbon" that needs to be connected from the screen to the motherboard? im not sure of this though..
