What I'm actually hearing here is that they want to make games for pc marked "made for windows" cost money via live.
"it can be cross platform. It doesn't have to,"
Then he goes on and on and talks about how sweet gamerscores are. I will fukin kill gates personally if he turns pc games into live WITHOUT cross platform. We already have a system better then live. It's called xfire. And it's free. DO NOT FUK WITH MY PC!

That was come good info. But I can care less. In the end I'm never going to pay to play online, and I'm sure thats what they are trying to get started.

I agree with that . Kinda fed up with the regurgitated games too. Woohoo, this one looks a little better at higher res cos of triple z-buffered nitro-burning-silicon-cached algorithmicaly-bumped spaz maps. Woo. Hoo.

well
with xp maybe i would have looked forward to this
but with vista, there is no way in hell i do because vista sucks up too much of the computers resources to truly game on it

The concept i nice, but the pc is not a conosle, and there are very good other free programs for that on pc.The only thingxbox live works is becuase there is nog good software for it on console that das the same. But becaucse of good marketing and parentsletting knew xboxlive on xbox and xbox360 they also my choose for it on pc,becuase they already know it and let face it,most parents are stoopid and don't know to mutch about the pc.So they will buy vista and pc live.

haha yea when he was talking about how to build a good os for gaming i couldnt help but laugh.
this is just another attempt to control another market. like they were saying it does what xfire +a few other apps will do it just puts them into one, and will eventually be built into windows(if its not already) and you wont have the option to remove it. just like ie, wmp....

Well the question is: Will this cheapen the 'Live!™ Experience' for the rest of us?
To be honest like some other People here I've given up on PC Gaming. I've like many of you played Doom™, and thought COOL!
Went on to play Duke Nukem™ and my first truly 3D Shooter Turok™ on my POS 3Dfx®™ Adrenaline Rush™ (2D/3D Accelerator Card that died too early 'cause nobody was aresed in those days to use the simple Stock Reference),.
Upshot no One Universal Driver to get Games Working with it!
Moved on to Final Fantasy VIII™ and had to get a gForce2 GTS™ Card cause the FMV were chocking on only the Four MB's of RAM that it had!
From there T&L, and Bumpmapping made Games look better, granted, but at what (whos'), cost?
First off just kill me NOW!
My System still uses the old ~and presumably passed on to a better life~ x8 AGP Bus.
I did manage to upgrade it to a ATI x1600Pro®™ w/HDMI-Out.
But, now the almost expect you to own a DAMNED MINT ~to turn out Sheets of Benjis' on 'em~ to purchase there Products.
To play this crap and get Mad-5c0r5 on with your System you have to atleast drop One €500.00(EUR)+ Card in there.
Thanks to the old 3Dfx®™ IP, we have SLI™ and ATI's B*st*rdization of that called Crossfire™, and now €500.00(EUR), will not cut it NAGGGHH, try more like €1000.00(EUR), couse you'll now be needing at lest Two, in order to get decent Frames.
Hell my biggest 'Monitor' just also happens to be my TV!
On my real Monitor I couldn't even get past 1024x768!
So talk about a Money Trap!
Hell we all know that's only Time till Microshaft teaters on the brink of Bankruptcy.
So who'd begrudge 'em the chance to make more Money over the Backs of PC Gamers?
It's not like they're poor or anything!
I mean Hell the latest offerings from nVidia®™ and AMD/ATI®™ make Windows Fist-er look like a friggen bargain by comparison!!

I don't understand these comments. You better not own a 360 and like it. 75 percent of the sh1t they put on the 360 comes out on the pc half a year before at half the price. On top of that if your rig is sweet you'll enjoy it more. Which mine is not.
A very contridictive statement if you ask me.
What I plan on doing is not giving tech support to anybody that uses windows live. I'm the neighborhood geek and I do help the neighbors when they need it. This in essense would be my part in taking a stab at microsoft.
"I told you, I will not help you if you use windows live. I warned you ahead of time and obviousely you thought I was joking. I can help you now but I'd have to charge you. I'll charge you half of what geek squad does. If you don't care for my policy or my beleifs geek squad is always there for you."
Think of me like some asshole. I don't care. This **** is my life and I'm not ashamed to proclaim my love for this industry. And I'll do everything within my power to keep it breathing.
