Hello everyone! First post on these forums even though signing up some time ago(1 year ago today)! Glad to be here! Let me first start by giving some info on my setup:

modded v4 PS2(Crystal Chip)
Hitachi 80GB HDD
Direct PC to PS2 network(using 14ft. crossover,no router)
Several Homebrew ELF's(uLaunchelf,HD Loader,SMS,PS2Net are a few)

What I am wanting to know is other than the SMS Media Player what application can play movie files(VCD,SVCD,DVD,& MPG) over the network or files already transferred to the HDD? I have been using SMS Media Player for quite some time now for all my DIVX/AVI files but I also have some VCD's,SVCD's,DVD's,& MPG's that I wanna try out from the HDD or via network streaming. What Homebrew application will play these type files? I have searched the forums here for some help but couldn't come up with anything! Also tried Google but all the info is about either SMS Media Player or PS2 Reality Media Player! Thanks!

If you follow the SMS development, you'd know that he's adding MPEG1/MPEG2 support to SMS right now. So, VCD and DVD playing (no menus more than likely, at least to begin with) should be around the corner.

Yeah! I had actually found this out from the home of SMS since posting this thread! Thanks anyhow! :)

No problem. Not everyone is even aware that SMS is developed in public as open source. It's one HUGE reason to go with SMS over PS2Reality Media Player.
