can you rip psx games for the emulater?

Yup. epsxe can run ripped ps1 games. i would rather use my psp now though.

if youre wondering if you can rip your psx games to an image file, then yea. just use a image buring/ripping program to do like nero or w/e. i use alcohol 120%, works just fine.

That isn't ripping. Ripping means removing or dummying files in the disc image.
I'm not certain but I would imagine that if the ripping still leaves a playable game on a modified ps1 then it will probably work as long as the image is ripped before the conversion to eboot, do not rip the eboot. It would probably only fail to work if you do a 'bad' rip.

i mean can we for instance rip out the fmv and audio to make the psx games smaller. like we do with psp games

...yeah i suppose you can, we did it for psx games on the psx, i see no reason why it wudnt work on the ps1 emu on the psp. :rolleyes:

actually, besides this forum. ripping generally refers to copying/extracting the data/image from the disc itself. ie. I ripped these mp3s from the cd I bought last week.

i tried with a 30mb rip of tekken 3 i found on the muule. Crashes at the title screen
