I have just played Final Fantasy VII on 3.02OE-B up till the train station and there are glitches! Firstly, the sound crackles and pops and then in the battle screen there is a graphics glitch on the left-hand side. Anyone had the same problems? Anyone help?

Have you tried it then? I think I will just have to try Final Fantasy VIII now and see how that plays.

since your in th UK from your name im guessing your game is PAL have you tried patching it to NTSC? DarK_AleX said EUROPEAN PAL games will have glitches so use ntsc 4 now..hope this helps..

I know about that,I made sure it is the NTSC version. I'm a PSP intermediate user lol. When the game starts up it says Sony Computer Entertainment America so I'm sure it's the NTSC version. I wonder if overclocking might fix it? Maybe it needs more oomph.

i think it will just be somethig with the iso, dont really think overclocking will do anything, have you tried a different final fantasy? my game had glitches in and i got a different iso of the game and it worked fine, sometimes its just the iso..dont know tho, cnt hurt in tryin overclockin it can ya?

i just put in an hours gameplay on final fantasy VII NTSC version

I didnt have one graphical glitch or one sound glitch, it was perfect

did you use the hot shots golf 2 image in popstation? The tool was specifically designed for that image

You cant overclock the psx emulation part because its already running at 333MHz

the only different thing I did was put in my own icon etc and hexedit the hot shots golf 3 SCUS number and put in the FFVII SCUS number (for the game saves so they ont write over each other). I cant see any of that having any effect on graphical glitches though

can't you just continue game with this glitch?
or it's impossible to continue?
start over from dumping image from CD. the image might be corrupt.
beside, I have 2 CDDrives and one drive was stupid and corrupted the image file. So i sucked image file by other drive.

Well I believe the image I had was of a badly scratched disc which might explain the glitches. I am getting a what I've been told to be high quality image file. I have never completed Final Fantasy VII and I desperately want to do so and I'm going to love playing it on the PSP. The graphics look great on PSP and the sound is brill too. It is possible to carry on playing with the glitches and my game doesn't crash but hopefully the image I'm getting will be perfect. I have done everything as I should in terms of creating the EBOOT,etc. I'm an advanced PSP user and a computer expert so it's all good. I think I will hex edit the file though and change the game code.
