Now that we can play any game may as well add proper manuals ;p

if you read the readme, DA said you can't modify any files or it won't work.

Custom Icons and images are added officially by DA into Popstation.exe

Other than that, you'd have to wait to see if there will be other version that support own manuals.

DOCUMENT.DAT is a very simple colection of png's.

However it is encrypted. I may add support for decrypted document.dat's in the future, so you can hide your porn as a manual :p

You could also add a walkthrough for the RPGs, so that you can always take a look, when you get stuck somewhere! Man this would be freakin aweseome! :D

I think if u can create a new tool and a new PBP that can create my own DOC files and other useful info include in DOC files. That is a wonderful job.

Something makes me think hacking each individual 'manual' DAT file will be too much hassle, for most people unless we can copy and paste standard text formats, and that a file viewer like in snes9x (which has complete folder browsing but doesn't open images) would work better if it could be implemented. Especially if it could support html or and zoom images for maps and such. e.g. the FFXII license grid at gamefaqs (and Belladonna's gapes )

On the other hand, keeping each manual/FAQ hard coded to each game is perhaps better than having to manage them all when you add and remove games which of course is why it is the way it is...

Creating doc.dat of game manals couldn't be easier. Simply download the manual and create a set of PNG images at 480x480 pxls and then use PSPDocMakerGUI.v021 to create the doc.dat. PSPDocMakerGUI.v021 also creaes doc.dat from .txt documents.

FAQs and strategy guides ar more complex but with a small amount of knoledge, some time and a decent art package it is not so bad. See here (http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=49824) and here (http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=52522)
Hope this helps. :)
