One of the levers on my switch broke, and now I'm having trouble getting my Gamecube to think the lid is closed.
Anyone have any ideas?? :(

Neat. I figured out a solution to my own problem.
Anyways, here's a picture showing what I did..
You could go one better and buy a 2 way switch to mount on the back of your gamecube to control lid state status that way. I'd recommend doing so incase you want to ever use the AR Method of booting something or perhaps in the future you may want to actually be able to "open" your lid while the machine is on.
Curious though, why do you have your lid down? If it's for anaconda, you do realize you don't need the switch stuck down at all. Unless using full size DVD-Rs ofcourse.

you could just do what i did and wire nother switch and have it sticking through the case. this way you can turn it on and off with viper..

Also, you can not bridge those 2 solder points and use the BBA/Modem adapter as the ViperGC switch, if it's in you are using the modchip, if you take it out it disables.

Yes it thinks it's always closed. And I'm building a switch for it. I just wanted to be able to play a game so I came up with that. :)

lol, my sensor tabs snapped off as well in one of my cubes, also sinc the anaconda needs the sensors to be modded to work i made a tutorial for the "Lid sensor Mod" all you really need to do is soldier (or "Bridge") all 3 pins (only 2 are actually used) under the connector for the blue cable.

i thought about adding a switch but dosent have much use, unless gameshard/ action replay require use of the lid sensor....if i remember you have to hit a button so it dosent care about the sensor.
