Hi all
I have installed the latest 3.02 Custom firmware and have backed up Micro Machines V3 from my old PSX collection, but how do I convert that to an eboot.pbp? Its currently a BIN file.
Sorry for the question if its been covered before.
Cheers

and it may be impossible because all the games are special edited by Sony.

Fair enough, but how does that explain some of the current PSX games on Demonoid that are in eboot format? Sorry to mention that site, but thats how I thought it was possible to back up my old PSX games.

IIRC Dark Alex's docs for 3.02 OE say that the ISO is contained within the EBoot, but it is encrypted.
I guess this means that you'd have to be able to encrypt the ISO in order for this to work, a bit like being able to run homebrew on a normal 3.02 PSP.
Although it might be possible to bypass the encryption methods for the PSX EBoots the same as the encryption methods have been bypassed for homebrew launching from the XMB.

Those are officially converted by Sony sold on their Playstation store. Someone bought and downloaded using their PS3 and then torrented them.
I still suspect that these games are recompiled from their source code to work on the PSP because the performance is really good. Emulating a PSX on a PSP can't be this perfect. I hope I'm wrong and someone makes a PSX ISO to Eboot converter though. :)
