You could use a mod chip, but if you don't want to open up the ps2 use Swap Magic.

be careful what modchip you get, mine doesnt read my backup psx games

I suggest you get a modchip, i have one and it works perfectly, i can download all the games i want, i ripped them and then i put them in th ps and they work great:)
