you need to undo the 6 screws on the heatsink and the whole board should unplug like the dvd drive did
(if i remember correctly)

no, thermal paste is not nessary, yes you have to remove the heatsink for a rev c you dont have to for a rev a/B but it will be hard not too (its workable but i suggest removing hte heatsink)

ohhh, my bad :)
to remove the mother board you must take off the heat sink then the motherboard will come ffree or there will be 2 more screws depending on the version. also there may be another board under the sheilding (agian depending on the version....just keep taking out screws , if you see one remove it :D

you should have 2 peices of plastic for the one side. one is a fitting, one is a cog and theres a spring (this is for the back).
Put the spring on the peice with the notch sticking out, make sure the arm goes into the little slot on the plastic.. Then put the plastic with the spring into the hole where the lid is, push it down so that its all like it should be, dont let go because it will fly out.. Make sure the spring is in the big area not the small area for the cog. using ur other hand, take the cog and put it under there in a small slot with the small peice of plastic, you will notice the cog lines up with the ridges of the lid itself.. then carefully push the top peice of the plastic down so that its enclosing the spring and the cog in the right place then using your free hand, screw the screw in to keep it in place, then just put the other peice of plastic in the other side. turn the case over, open the lid, it should open, you will see the spring might not be between 2 small ridges, using a screwdriver, just lift it and put it in place. If you take a good look at ur peices of plastic before hand you will understand what i mean.. dont be going "what peice of plastic with the slot for the springs arm to sit in." don't worry, the spring has 2 ends to it. one end has a loop on it, the other end has an angle on it, put the angled side in the slot and the looped side goes in the space on the lid. The pressure, is very light, so if you find your having to press down very hard, youve probably done something wrong.
This is really something that needs pictures for it.
