Xbox 360 repair refunds are in the mail

Check out the following visual proof that MS are issuing compensation for gamers with Xbox 360's manufactured in 2005 which experienced red ring problems. The issued finance weights in at just over $64 - wooo party time :).

A couple of months back, my 360 was stricken with the infamous red circle of death - a problem that would soon plague all first run 360 consoles. Realizing this, Microsoft stated that they would pay for all repair costs if the machine was manufactured in 2005. Those who had already dished out cash for repairs before the statement was made would be fully refunded with a check, which was to arrive in the mail six to eight weeks later.

My 360 was built in 2005-- and it JUST started giving me the 3 red lights. Is it too late to try to get a free repair?

if u bought it in 2005 its should still be in warranty as it was only released dec 2nd 2005

i have the same trouble and i sent mine back 2 weeks ago and it was done under warranty

just call the support line and speak with the guys on the phone are very helpfull and duoble check everything with you.

If you need to get it sent back do what i did and ask for the packagin slip to be emailed to you to save time (check spam box lol)

I just got a check back for $139.90 2 days ago .. Xbox support said the check would be here in October but at least it got here and I'm glad that I got my money back. :) woohoo
