Ill try to keep this short and simple.

1. PSP is NOT BRICKED (1.5 w custom firmware and wedges VSHEX mod) Everything works fine if the PSP is plugged in...but

2. If i try to play the PSP off a battery, nothing. wont even turn on. Tried 4 BATTERIES (2 regular PSP batteries BRAND NEW!!, 1 Extended Sony PSP battery, 1 Datel X2 Battery) and none of them work.

3. The PSP works fine plugged in with NO battery in. (works fine with the battery inserted but it is running off external power).

4. all batteries can catch a charge when plugged in also.

So, all in all my psp is not running off of batteries at all. Besides that everything is working fine.

any suggestions. scared to take it apart, WILL NOT SEND TO SONY TO BE UPGRADED!!

any genuine help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's not a fuse issue. I just suffered from this for the last few days. I bridged my working fuse anyway because of this post, and it ended up being that I needed to update to m33s latest firmware. Yes, it was working fine on the firmware before, but that it decided not to later on.

I have the same exact problem, except my firmware is original.

The PSP does not work from battery alone but works from AC adaptor, with or without a battery inserted.

What could be the problem?
