View Full Version : Xbox 360 is as Tough as Nails
A gamer who was in a truck accident lives to tell the tale of how his Xbox 360 survived some horrific bruising. The truck he was in rolled over quite a few times, with him even being knocked out - but most importantly his Xbox 360 survived and he'd thought he'd let the world know!

Ok, So monday I was involved in a Hit and run Car accident. My truck rolled 3 or 4 times. During the course of the rolling my xbox 360 Premium was thrown out of the vehicle. I didnt get knocked out and Im alive. When I got out of the vehicle I saw my beloved 360 and harddrive not to mention some of my games strewn along the road with other items of mine. I walked over and picked up the 360. Face plate not to be found. 360 had a tire mark on it. It had been ran over.

HAHA, Just need a new case now and this guy's all set. Hope the game's that flew out all over the road were backup's and the original's were at home all nice and safe.
EDITL: Just noticed the warrenty sticker look's like it was pulled off and not scratched off so he could have had a modded drive and his Xbox below his 360 is in a blue case that could be a XCM case so i think this guy's covered.
Atleast he has his 360 to play while he has no car and now probably no money to buy a new system.

The 360 may be tough, but I don't think there were many systems built tougher than the Super NES. I remember once I dropped mine down some stairs, and it worked perfectly. None of the plastic even broke off. Years later, my SNES was fried during an electrical storm. I bought a new one at Funcoland.. and decided to try to take the old one apart. It took 3 hours and a wood axe to open it.

Somehow it seems odd that even an extended Microsoft warranty wouldn't cover the few cases where the one dashboard update bricked the console. Are these not referring to the same system, or was the DVD drive firmware hacked, or what?
u know whats funny about this? the 360 can take getting owned in a car reck where the car rolls more than once but one update from MS and the **** blows up amazing...

i would keep it the same as it is,so when people go look at the state of your 360 in he can tell them battle scars.

I do! That was one tough cube, maybe it was because of the shape. And Xplay (I know, the show blows) did a thing were they compaired durability between Xbox, PS2, and the GC. PS2 Died first, then the Xbox, and GC worked after having almost everything *****-slapped out of it.
