Yeah obviously longer cables could be said to be better... In any case it sure is better to have too much versus not enough but hm.. The PS3 cable is a Normal USB A-Mini if i recall so you can buy one in any story or buy a USB extension... Extra cost for those who really need it which sucks but at least...There is a solution.

I don't know... for me it's not much of a big deal. I still won't pick up a PS3 anytime soon but by the time i do... anyways Sony got their super fast charging technology with their Pad so...

Standard mini usb cable. Just buy a longer one for 2€ and you're good to go...

Why even bother about this....the ps3 controller is bluetooth standared, it's meant to be wirless not like the regular wired contoller, while your at it why don't you compare the wirelss range of the ps3 bluetooth controller to that of the 2ghz 360 premium ones.

yea i agree. anyways, i will only plug-in the usb cable after having played with the controller so that it gets charged for the next play session.

I would'nt say 2.5hr charge time is fast. I rather have the option to use my uniross 15min charger instead.

the pad is wireless and i would only plug it in to charge therefore why would i want to lay it across the room from the console ?

so that u could charge AND play at the same time. the 360 recharge wire is just abt long enuff for me. would deffo need a longer ps3 wire for my room.

Eh, I don't like those charge while playing cords, that contradicts the point of wireless controllers. So I just bought 3 Battery Packs with the Wall Charger. When one runs out, I swap in a full one and charge the empty one while I play.
