That becuase the drive is almost as big as a xbox360 itself.

Now to just find one in the stores already. I was in best buy yesterday for something else and wandered over to the xbox section. A best buy drone approached me so I asked when the drive was coming out.
He said the end of the month. Other places say today, GS says the 8th, and still others say the 14th.
I guess it doesn't matter since none of my Netflix hd-dvd rentals have shipped anyway.

Blue ray still cost more.

I don't care how much it holds. As long as I get a great picture, some director or actor commentary, some deleted scenes or some other extra goodies and that's about it. As for how much extra space is left over when everything is said and done, I don't really care.

this is what will happen... cd.. dvd.. hd-dvd (future format).. blue-ray disc (future FUTURE format). too bad sony think ahead and developed new format blue-ray, making hd-dvd obsolete.

so the timeline of hd-dvd is too damn too short compare to dvd timeline. welcome blueray-disc ull sure will win the war. consider this hd-dvd is only new format of dvd. hd was added to it because of this hd that need to implemented on new video player. its not new development. its just an upgrade of dvd format. we need new format that can store a lot of files and not just hd videos. blueray disc is the future of upcomming new format. so if u guys planin to buy video player for ur hd tv buy blueray player. u wont regret it.
