Halo Movie Moving Forward

Despite all the 'will it or won't it' talk surrounding the release of the Halo movie, today Variety revealed MS are trying to partner up with Warner and Paramount film studios to get the job done.


According to today's Variety, Microsoft is focusing their partnering efforts on Warner Bros. and Paramount, partially due to complex relational issues with the other major studios. Sony is out because of the PlayStation. Disney is iffy due to Apple's Steve Jobs involvement. And New Line is still working through legal problems related to LOTR with Halo producers Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh. The level of interest that Warners and Paramount have shown in the project is unclear.

Hahahahahahahaha....That's funny **** right there. You must NOT know movies what so ever, and I'm not saying this as it being Halo, I'm saying this as living a life as a movie buff since I was 5. So before calling someone fucking stupid, make sure you yourself know what you're talking about. Sometimes the best movies in the world are Independent movies. Some of the biggest name actors are in Independent movies more then Hollywood ****. One of the biggest named Independent movies was "The Evil Dead" which not only launched Bruce Cambell into Iconic presence in the horror scene, but it led to making Sam Raimi one of the biggest directors, if not the biggest, in Hollywood. At that time, no one knew either of them, and that is just ONE Indie movie that did such.

On a last note, LotR is one of the best series of this generation made by one of the best Horror writers ever. The Matrix Reloaded sucked, but you had to see Revolutions...that's a better example. As for the the World of Warcraft ep of South Park, everyone loved it because it was a break through, to see such a mainstream show break into Machinima. I'm sorry man, but seriously...you have bad fucking taste in just about everything now. :P But, since Master Chief wears the Spartan Armour, he could just be voiced by the actual Master Chief if they wanted to. Which would be bad ass.

I quoted what I said before, because it applies to everyone on here that like to make negative assumptions on things when it comes to Microsoft, yet see a bogus spec by Sony and believe it without question. :p

On another note, Ben "Affelect" (It's Affleck you dolt. :p) isn't going to be in the movie, no clue where you got that from. Denzel was set to be Master Chief, at least his voice, and that was confirmed...but that was before the movie "Died". You fail to realize that all the video game movies that you've mentioned were back in the early 90's, and weren't able to be that great. Of course not all the new Video Game movie adaptations are good, look at Bloodrayne...But Doom was a good movie, excluding it not being in Hell. The Resident Evil movies were actually pretty good, The Spirits Within sucked balls, but that's because it was a shitty story, not a shitty movie. Mortal Kombat was the best video game movie to date, ask anyone that's not biased to video game companies, but just movies in general. MK: Devestation is going to be a great movie, I can already tell. It's before Lui Kang and Mortal Kombat in general, it's a prequal about the Vendetta between Sub-Zero and Scorpion.

Rofl. Big talk from someone who apparently still doesn't have any taste in movies. 1. Fanboy comment for damn sure, Final Fantasy was made in Japan. ;) 2. It WAS the best video game to be based fully on the storyline, not just in my opinion, but in general cinema's opinion. Of course Resident Evil wasn't the game, it didn't have anyone from the game in it and it wasn't set inside the Mansion, just like Silent Hill didn't have anyone in it from the game but was a great movie, both video game adaptation and horror movie. 3. WTF are you talking about Ben Affleck has no association to this film what so ever. lmao. And I'm serious, check your information. 4. Bruce Willis is one of my favorite actors, he made somewhat of a comeback with Sin City, but he's just that...old and can only play aging characters. 5. Great comeback. :rolleyes: LotR was and will forever be a great visualization of the books, and if you liked the books, you should have liked the movies.

And last but not least, I'm surprised you're not rolling on Resident Evil like a dog on a dead animal...seeing it WAS made by Sony. :p
