I appologise if this has been raised before, but I couldn't find any specific reference to it after doing a search.

Is it possible to force a Pal PS2 to run in NTSC? My messiah mod chip lets me play NTSC games themselves ok, but I have a few games that tend to stutter durring FMV. This is somthing I have found on my xbox 99 times out of 100 to be because of the fact it is trying to playback NTSC 30 fps video at the lower PAL 25 fps rate. On the xbox it is easy enough as I can use the enigmah videomode switch disk to force PAL or NTSC as needed, which solves the problem entirely, but I can't seem to find a similar program for the PS2. Admitedly I can put up with it but if I can get rid of the problem I would be alot happier.

I have tried using HDLoader 8b but It seems the PAL to NTSC mentioned in the info was only for the HDL GUI :( .

Euh, Well I'm not gonna flame you, but as I learned NTSC is 25 FPS and PAL is 30 but I might be wrong if you wanna patch games use a proggy called

Jaytee master

It's a All in one Video Mode converter.

Thanks for the help, you've helped me to find a few bits and pieces to try out over the weekend, fingers crossed :) .

It was FFXII that prompted me to try and find somthing for my ntsc to pal fmv video skipping problem, but the video skipping in that seems to be a problem with it being a copy (It seems to skip differently be it from hdd or disk), which means I'll have to wait for the UK release so I can buy it. Oh well I was going to anyway but I was hoping for an early go of it, but that skipping spoils it a bit for me so I'll have to wait, yeah I know I'm way too picky :D

You might want to try to use dvdloader software for ps2. Burn the loader to either a cd or dvd & boot it on your ps2. The video mode can be selected in PAL or NTSC before swapping to load your game disc.

Try this method & see if it work for you.

At this site you can find anything relating to PS2 Mods/patches/fixes etc... http://www.sksapps.com/index.php?page=hd.html There is an easy Pal to NTSC program in Mis. that I use and like even though it cuts off a little bit of the top and bottom but it isn't like that in all games it really depends.
