reet, might aswell be the first to start whining about some of the inevitable bugs :D
When in evox, if i use the "reboot" option my xb reboorts, but after the xbox logo it hangs.
i have a v1 xbox with 4034 kernel and am using bigfonts.
some people have reported not beeing able to use the "launch dvd" without first launching and exiting another app, but mine doesnt seem to have that problem. always works right away.
i guess all these problems might be related to the b&e fonts rather then the phoenixloader,

The crash on reboot problem may be related to fonts. We will investigate when we have time. :-)
We're quite busy with some new developments, atm.

one little bug to note, using xbmp as the default dash with phoenix bios loader works except for FTP filezilla support. it says the password is invalid, not sure what is leading the problem, it is happening on many xboxes i have font exploited, 1.0-1.3

crash on reboot is indeed related to fonts because RELOADED doesn't have the problem for me, and BIGFONTS, does. i went back to RELOADED, because it's 1 less error

ok, what about that bug ive been hearing about that has your xbox reboot for hours on end after youve unplugged it for a while? isnt that fixed by bigfonts?

i havent left it unplugged but once..(with BICOE) and it took a full day to boot
Iv had some success with the mechassault using the Pheonix BIOS loader. The only problem I have at the moment is the xbox still resets on eject. It comes out about halfway then it pulls it back in. Other than that everything else seems ok.

Reset on Eject from 007/MA is unlikey to get fixed from what I know. What happens is the first XBE you run decideds the reset on eject feature, so the Dashboard doesn't have that flag set, so auido and font hacks work fine for Reset on Eject. However 007/MA sets the flag to reset on eject and no matter how much software tries to reset that flag I don't think you can.

i'm finding that even when i boot up normally, phoenix loader doesnt boot everytime. I sometimes have to power on and off a few times to get it to boot...
would that be related to the bigfonts aswel?

it seems that by updating the evox version (both dash and ini files) to the latest version you can resolve the "cant run dvd from evox" problem
at least it has done the trick for me and for a m8 of mine

Always good to see experimentation from people to try and solve the common thorn in the ass problems.
Keep up the good work ;)

Thanks for your reply vintage_guitar, however I would perfer that I could launch the BIOS loader optionaly instead of everytime I start the xbox. If using the reloaded fonts simple fixes the eject problem using the MA/BIOS loader hack then great, however i dont think this is the case. If I am worng please inform me.

right, it seems that some other people have been experiencing the same problem as i (having to power on and off a few times to get phoenixloader to boot)
and it turns out they all have no font folder...
would updating with live solve this or is there another way?
Edit: well, looks like reloaded solved the problem for me, dunno why... i guess ill use these untill a big fonts release comes along that solves the problem

It sounds like you do not have the debug environment set up properly!
Im sure there will be a tutorial on this soon.

I have the debug environement but it is the 4627 and not the 5558... Is it the reason why it doesn't work

The video mode that the Phoenix BIOS loader is using is not compatible with my component video cables. My TV loses the signal when the Phoenix BIOS loader displays the logo. Once EvoX is booted everything is fine. It works fine with my svideo cables, though.
