Brian Age ???? LOL
Check the heading of the news story guys :)
I reckon you would have to know the answers beforehand to be that fast.
Sure people can be quick but that is just a little too fast for me to beleive, i could be wrong tho. Just my opinion

Why are you all so sure this is a fake??? Your just watching someone who has mastered simple calculations.
I'm not very good, but I can do this in 14 seconds, I know there is a LOT of room for improvement, I pause to think and I spend a lot more time than I should writing the answers.
If he looks at the question below the one he is writing the answer for, one glance is enough time to figure out the answer, especially since brain-age tends to re-use, or ask similar, questions.
The main thing that slows me down is how quick I can write numbers, which this guy can obviously do VERY fast. He obviously plays a lot of brain age to adapt his writing to the character recognition.
Think about it, I've only played the game around 10 times over last month. But I'm sure some people have played it daily for months (as I intended to do) Your just watching the result.
Give the guy credit, good job!
...And can you save-state on the NDS???

There would be jap kids that can do this, i seem a program about these jap kids that where like mental math gods, they could solve like a 15 digit x,-,+,divide in like 4 secs, if i could find the video people would not believe it. But this is fake, he remembered all the answered and just did it really fast for the camera to show off, big cheat :D

here is why its fake, cant you play the same math puzzle twice in 1 day, he could just remember the answers and work on his speed to write them down as fast as possible. I would believe it if it showed him getting a stamp for the day right after that.

I dont have a DS, but I'd say that the questions are probably randomized...
But I don't know though...
A friend who was in kumon tried my brain age the other day and he was pretty fast (faster than me) even though that was his first time.

The questions are random, it won't give the same set twice in a row.
What is the matter?? Don't they teach mental maths in school anymore... These are SIMPLE calculations, the sums never even contain double digits ffs! (except #10). Anyone who knows their times-table will know the hardest answers here at a glance.
The guy is well trained to answering these, probably because he has been playing the game everyday for a while. Incidently kids, you would have the same ability by doing proper maths (no calculators) every day at school.
The hardest past of this video is writing so quickly, answering the simplist of sums instantly is the easy bit.
By the way, it is a fact that the human brain is infinitely faster than a calculator, it is just that very few of us (me neither) know how to use it.
He will be looking at the sums on the left and writing blindly on the right - I still look at the touch screen when trying to write.
Props to the guy in the vid though, for making everyone believe it's a fake :)
[EDIT]
I don't claim to be smart enough to do this (far from it), I'm just saddened by the underestimation of general human capability.
I have a younger friend who puts me to shame on the brain age simple calculations.
BTW, I just rewatched the vid, the guy is so well tuned to stylus writing that he has adapted his written numbers' form to the minimal handwriting required for brainage to register it (IE: He writes it how the game likes it) - This obviously comes from a large amount of brainage play time. ...I'm still struggling with my 4s! ;)
