New Version - Version 1.6
In celebration of the 9 month anniversary of AC:WW (US release), the Map Editor is allowing more dangerous items.
New Features:

* Danger Level 3 items: rock seeds (5 regular, 5 money rocks). Rafflesia 'seeds' and masks.
* Several Danger Level 4 items: gatehouse 'seed's, bulletin board 'seed', small sign 'seed' (more coming in December)
* Customize character: change face, hair style, hair color and tan. NOTE: tans will fade in Fall.
* Customize character: change name for any player/resident. Allow changing from really short names.
* World Map Editor: now shows where you should place public buildings (eg: your house, nook and sister's stores, gatehouse, museum, town hall and bulletin board. Makes it easier to move these correctly (so they show up on the mini-map). Makes it easier to move your main house (without the game crashing) See this help topic for tips.
* Fixes in some of the 'background'/'backdrop' graphics.
* Ongoing bug fixes, missing items, cleanup of item names, etc

I have a question. When I finished editing my map, everything was good. Except for the fact that my neighbours' (I only had 3. Neighbour 1/Neighbour 2/Neighbour 3) houses were in the wrong places on the map (when you press "X"). How do I fix or prevent this?

It only works with supercard saves (.sav) for ur animal crossing rom 0_o.

Hey, can you edit just the gbm. file, I'm using an xploder adapter and the saves are in gbm.

Only supercard saves no AR or Xploder only for Supercard and i have one AHMAGAWD I PAWN.

Is it possible to convert it to a supercard save (Sav.) then edit it and convert it back to the normal format (Gbm.) Then that would be great!

sorry i did not ave a clue on my computer i have axction replay ds and ds lite and when i try to download animal map of aibohacker it openes and everythings find and when i try to get it up it says open file and i click every file and eqach time it says *cannot save rom save file is this becuz im from the uk or wats da matter*
btw how do u connect top annimal map

Look... unless you find a Gbm. to Sav. Converter it is never going to work...OK!
The Editor can only handle Sav. Files, either they have to change it so it can edit Gbm.'s aswell, or you find a converter... my bet is that the converter is the easiest option.

I have been wondering and finnally decided to ask is there anyway to upgrade your house size? I tried placing the mansion model, but when I went inside it still was the size* I orignally had.

Great editor. One problem I have is when you try to revive the flowers and water them. This doesnt seem to work.

Will there be any updates to this editor?

I own an EZ4 lite, and when I open my .sav file with the editor, it shows everything fine, the information, map, items and rooms and all that. But when I edit the stuff I want and save, I replace my old .sav file and start the game, everything is like before! Nothing happened. I even tried to open my new savefile from my microSD and it shows everything like i changed, but still the game acts like before :( What's the problem?

I know v1.6 says name changes are risky, but will the next release allow for shorter player name changes? My real name is four letters, and I'd like to change it to that (which I should have done when I started my town, but I didn't).

That's pretty lame to have it work only with Supercards. IS there any Animal Crossing map editor that works with other flash carts?

No, the save files are the same for each type of flashcrt, but they are renamed. eg: .0 --> .sav

Ok, well, I opened up the save in the map editor, and made my changes. Then I pressed Final Save, but nothing showed up in the game?

Would you happen to know what I"m doing wrong?

And I have to rename the save file from .0, to .sav myself, right?

I have the .SAV file. But I try open it, it says I dont understand game save format. Help please! This was made from an R4 DS

but... (there had to be one I guess) :confused:

It only seems to work on 256kb sav files, not 512kb save files as used on the M3DS and the Supercard.

I have found tools to convert DST to DUC and DUC to 256 SAV, and 256 SAV to 512 SAV - but I haven't yet found a tool to reduce a 512 SAV to a 256 SAV. :(

Does anyone know of such a piece of software? Or will there be another version of the Animal Crossing editor that will accept standard 512 SAV files?

strange 512kb gamesaves work on my r4ds when edited

It's not that the save files can't be played, it's that the editor doesn't seem to recognised a 512kb save. So I can't edit a save game taken from my Supercard, but I can download others save games (in DST or DUC or 256SAV formats) edit those then convert to 512kb save.
I just wonder why it won't edit a 512kb SAV file directly.

Yes there is a converter it is currently online only http://shunyweb.info/convert.php I select CycloDS(r4) to dslinker or Acekard 2(force 256) edit the file and then convert back.
