Sprung wins - hands down - for worst DS game and quite possibly the worst game EVER.
I think it even beats E.T. for the Atari 2600.

hands down best game on the ds : Castlevania - Dawn of sorrow

I don't think I can pick a best, but I can give you a list of games I've enjoyed (and some that I'm currently enjoying).

Good stuff:
New Super Mario - good for a while.. but once you beat it, you won't come back to the single player
Sonic Rush - Classic Sonic action with a few DS style twists..
Mario Kart DS - it's Mario Kart, 'nuf said
Mega Man ZX - proof that you don't need to use the touch screen to make a good DS game.. if you like mega man, you'll like this game..
Warioware touched - the doofiest games seem to be the most fun on this system
Feel the Magic/The rub rabbits - both of these are weird and definitely worth playing.. nothing like rubbing your head with a towel to generate enough static to shoot a 'kameha meha'
Big Brain/Brain age - these are good when you need to kill some time
Castlevania - good game, crappy touch screen elements.. seems like they just threw'em to say 'look, it's a DS game now'
Jump Super Stars - if you can read japanese and you're an anime/manga fan.. get this game
Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time - it made me laugh, it made me cry.. classic
Osu! Tatakae! Oendan - the sequel is being released in the US as Elite Beat Agents!.. it's like DDR, touch screen style..
Phoenix Wright/Gyakuten Saiban - a stupid "point and click" adventure that I couldn't stop playing
Cooking Mama - another one of those, 'so stupid I can't stop playing' games
Bleach DS - if you can understand the goals, get this game.. it's a shame there's no US date.. stupid licenses

Not so good stuff:

Yoshi touch & go - I had no idea what I was doing or why I was doing it
TMNT3 - why does Konami release this kind of crap? you'd think with all the good games they're capable of making, they'd be able to filter out this stuff
Tetris - meh.. it's tetris
Star Fox Command - good for a little while, then it's just repetitive and boring
Lego Star Wars 2 - get it for PC/console instead
Ridge Racer - n64?
Resident Evil - n64?
Monster House - smash tv?
Kimpossible Kimmunicator - no comment
Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy - less reading, more fighting
DBZ: Supersonic Warriors - less animation than the show
Chou Shoujuu Mecha MG - again with all the reading... what's with all the text? it's like they're trying to sell a book
Bubble Bobble Revolution - viva el presidente!

I think Lego Star Wars II for the DS also should be in here...I can't believe LucasArts went ahead with that pile of crap. The camera is HORRIBLE, the controls are pure shite, and the AI is silly.
All in all, it doesn't look like a very "DS-specific" port at all. It looks like the developers were rushed to finish the last port - this DS port - and crapped it all up.

That Mecha MG game is pretty good though. I kinda like having to control the mech "weapons" via the stylus on the "control panel".
It's also kind of steampunk.

well for me....i loved phoenix wright.. you really get hooked. i hated mario 3 on 3. i like lego star wars how ever.. I hate the horriable light saber swings when they just go threw the guys.. and the badddddd baddddddd badddddddd camera angles.....besides that ive been a bit addicted to the game.. except for when i get stuck then it frustrates the crap out of me... i mean literally im sitting on the toilette playing the game.

Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime rocks! C'mon, I can't believe no one mentioned it! Trauma Center and Pheonix Wright are both amazing DS games as well. New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Kart are no brainers (Mario games... gotta love em ;) )... Metroid and Starfox are both quite enjoyable.

I can't bring myself to think of the worse games out there... I've played so many! :eek: *shudder*... Yeah, rather not think about it.

Trauma Center-fun by yourself (or with another friend that KNOWS how to play it)

Mario 64 ds - reminds me of n64. mostly fun by yourself

new mario bros - fun with any number of people (can keep taking turns when u die)

mario kart ds - enough said

Brain age - its arite. hard for me to use it every day thuogh.

Breakout - one of the cheaper games. u could find it in walmart, in the "value video games" section. it isnt even behind the lockup. i like this game because u could use your STYLUS to play BREAKOUT (or i believe the original is..arkanoid, if im not mistaken)

right now, trauma center is my favourite game.

but when its time to let a girl play with the ds lite, best bet is to put in new super mario bros. they always laugh alot and smile when they win, and they get soo angry when they die.

I have never played a bad game yet. cause since i buy them, i make sure i know what im buying first. i always check out videos, etc...

Worst game I have to say is Lego Star Wars 2. Has so many gltches it is impossible to play through some areas. Oter than that it was fun but the glitches made it frustrating. The best game I have to say is Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan. Great music and keeps you hooked. The sequel is coming to the US and I cannot wait.

My favourite games at the mo (in no particular order) are:-

Big Brain Academy - 1454kg and counting
Brain Age - the Sudokus are great
Phoenix Wright - why do i find this so compelling?
Lost in Blue - surely I have better things to do than dig up carrots (apparently not!)
Trace Memory - where the hell is the 'Book with the N'?
Super Mario 64 DS - never finished it on the N64 so its nice to have another go.
New Super Mario
Mario Kart DS - I must get round to setting up a .sav file
Project Rub - totally insane but very different
Meteos - dont really understand what Im supposed to be doing but enjoying it anyway.
Tetris DS - especially the puzzles
Osu! Tatakae! Oendan - just nuts!

I bought a DS just to play Brain Age but then found 'Academy so much better. I was recently on holiday and everyone in the bar loved playing both those games.

Ive been really suprised just how much really good (ie FUN) software is out for this fantastic little machine - I use it everyday sometimes for hours on end. Thats one of the other great things about the DS - the battery life is great (I had a PDA before and it only held around 4 hrs charge - pity I cant save stuff in DSOrganise :mad: though as Im using a SC).

It was also really good to be able to listen to mp3's on holiday with moonshell, I just wish the front end was a bit less clunky. Anyone know of any other mp3 players out there?

Worst game ever is Crash,Boom,Bang for the ds. It is absolutely unplayable.
The two games I am playing right now are both great; final fantasy 3 and Eragon (very addicting)

Mario Kart DS is easily the best game, simply because it's better than its N64 counter-part and oozes replay value because of the multi player aspect.

After that;

Trauma Center - nice challenge, although I wish there were more 'real' operations in the game, and still stuck on the final operation.

NSMB - plenty to do due to being able to take different paths to reach the final goal. No replay value once you've completed it 100% though.

Polarium - puzzle mode amazing.

Neutral;

Kirby canvas curse - good but I'm lazy

Bad;

Phoenix Wright - the mouths move even though you can't hear their voices, and the screen randomly flashes and creeps me out:P

Yoshi touch & go - from the vid it seems pointless

MLB 2K7 needs to be added to the WORST list. That game probably got made over a weekend, and a lot of alcohol and drugs were involved.

Hotel Dusk should be on the BEST list. Doesn't seem like something Nintendo would make.

Custom Robo Arena is also pretty good.

And horses & Poneys.. and babies Themes ..:D , other than that, I can't complain that much from the Children catalog, they do what they do, but are not THAT awfully utterly sheaht comapred to horses games..:eek: Even teh make up game is better!
