Fresh on the back of DOUBLE PLATINUM in Japan, Square Enix has announced a Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings for the DS. Little else is known about the title, but it's expected that more will be known during the Tokyo Games Show.

Following double platinum sales in Japan (and just prior to its US release) Square Enix has announced a Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings for the DS. This title puts players in the role of FFXII's main character Vaan in a story about air pirates. Vaan's chick, Panello, also makes an appearance as a character whom Vaan works to protect.

I'm actually kind of hoping they bring over the FFIII Modified DS as well, though a part of me is considering trading in the White DS Lite for a black one, but the FFIII DS looks sweet.

Yeah Japan gets everything. Did they ever get the Mario Kart DS?

They had a separate Red color out before us. It launched with Jump Superstars. It didn't come with stickers or anything though. Also, the bottom of it was black rather then the silver we got here.

Seeing as FFXII is based in the same world as FF Tactics which was released on the PSX and GBA, i'm willing to bet that the FFXIII DS iteration will be of a similar style in that you have a grid that you move on, similar to Advance Wars.

Suppose they're thinking it'd work well on the DS.

Can't wait.
