I have been backing up my games with qoob pro for a month about a month. For some reason now, the games I backup are not 1.35gb but rather vary from 500mb to 1gb. I was wondering if it was the computers fault or something else I need to do. I have already tried a new crossover cable. Also tried gcom and original qoob bios.

perhaps the game just isn't a full sized dvd? I know most games will have dummy files to take up space but perhaps some don't leaving the size smaller?

Try and re rip a game that you know worked before at 1.35GB, if it rips at proper size than nothing should be wrong with your BBA, cable, software or connection I would imagine.

Yah, I already tried that. I still gave me below 1.35 gb for some reason.

have you tried burning back the undersized games?, the actual game size varies greatly in reality, but all isos are dummied to 1.3gig. You can usually fit 2 games on 1 disk using the cube multiboot proggy.

Most GC games are below the 1.35gb limit. I rip mine using my mod chip (qoob pro) and the BBA getting the same thing. It doesn't transfer the bummy files that are required to fill the disc. In these cases I have to run it through FSTFIX to fix the problems. If google you can find FSTFIX and a GUI (which makes easier), then all you have to do is is burn the iso's (check out the guides using nero on the site listed below).

Almost all guides and programs needed can be found at

Another options is putting multiple games on one disc (if your mod chip allows multidisc support), and if you using a softmod (bootdisc rather then hardware) forget multidisc.
