View Full Version : help conecting ps2 to my pc(networking)

im havin a problem with networking, im allready networking my self off another pc so i cant use that conection so i installed another ethernet card,ive conected my networking cable into that one then it goes into the ps2 but on my pc it says network cable unpluged,i dont know what to do know do i need to change the internet settings or change the pins on the network cable ,any ideas ,thanks dckicks@hotmail.com

Tou can't connect your pc directly to your ps2 unless you have a crossover cable. You have to connect both into a hub.

thanks for replyin,i bought a crossover cable thats done the job but i want to put files from the pc onto the ps2 but cant do it i can conect to the network ok and im using faplink program,any ideas

ok m8, listen up. from ur story i understand u use a X-over cable. that means u have this set-up i believe.

MODEM conencted to pc networkcard 1, and networkcard 2, conencted to ur PS2.

if u have WIN XP use ur INTERNET networkcard to "share" your conenction.
( right mouse button--->properties--->advanced and then choose "share connection" .
u can find all about on www.playstation.com

but u can ask all u want in here m8

click start
go to settings
network conenctions.

then u will see a screen with ur networkcards

use the one wich connects to the internet
right clcik

seems straight forward what your saying but still cant find the share connection ,look at the pic attacheed

u can give me ur msn address and we will figure it out. do u have administrator rights ? and do u use windows XP PRO or HOME ?
