Downloaded Game - How to get it working?

Hi All,

I am new to the forum as i have been searching around trying to find an answer to my problem.

I have a game which i dont think is an image as its just the foler with multiple what look like .rar files all numbered textetc.00,.01.02 and so on
and it has some other files in the folder that are i think .sfx or something like that but they dont come up with the rar icon anyway?

Now if i try and extract one of these files using winrar it says no file present or something like that which sort of makes me think its not winrar files at all?

Anyway i have tried using xiso and quix to create an xiso which it does so i am left with one image file which at this stage i am thinking ok well thats good. I then however burn this image onto a disc which also works but when i bloody view the contents of the disc after burning it just looks exactly the same like the files are all as i mentioned above? no xbe's etc in sight?

I know i must be missing something simple here? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Asking for help for a game you downloaded is not approite, downloading games is a violation of copywrite laws. Im not a moderator here, but Im sure as soon as one sees this post it will be locked.

Look if you must know the game is a football game that i actually bought for my kids but i made the mistake of not backing it up and the disc is scratched and will not read. So i dont actually see that i have done anything wrong, just got a copy of a game i actually paid for?

I understand your point but **** me stop kidding your self mate! We all know what every person is doing here on a forum like this.

I expect you will come back with some babble about how you dont condone piracy blah blah so dont bother.

Sorry if I seemed agresive, I understand where you are comming from I cannot say I have never obtained a game in a way I shouldnt have. I was just trying to warn you that stuff like that is not tollerated in any forum that I participate in. I wouldnt want to see you get banned, or worse snagged by the man, because of something stupid like the wording in your post.

For your issue, If they will not open with winrar, maybe the download was not completed, or it was corrupted. Everyone I have ever seen opens with winrar.
