Hello. I want to start hacking my DS games. I thought cheats didn't exist on DS! How do i download a trainer to my DS? is there anyway i can modify my DS's performance? I know you can change skins and add lights and stuff like that...But i heard of some sort of super card. Its like a new language to me! Combing PC with DS is hard for me to understand. Could someone please kindly take the time to explain? Thank you so much you people rock!

To be able to use a trainer on a DS game you need to have a DS capable of running homebrew games. So you will need something like a passme and a Supercard SD. This will let you put software onto a SD card and run it from there.
They are both available from a bunch of different places, I got mine from eBay quite cheap.

As for performance, someone had done a hack that makes the DS run at a higher speed, but it isn't really usefull in real life, and I believe it involves a fair bit of extra hardware (but I could be wrong).

There is a program called Moonshell that allows you to look at pictures and play media files. It can be skinned with different styles. Again, you need a flash cart or Supercard to be able to run it.

Just about everything you need to know can be found on this forum by using the ever handy search button. If you can't find it here, Google is also your friend. Some people may not be so ready to answer questions that have already been asked many times over on here ;)

Man, how old are you? You won't get that kind of answer here.

Moonshell is an example of a piece of homebrew software. It was not licensed or endorsed by Nintendo, and was made by someone, or a group of people as part of a non-profit (usually) exercise or project.

Since you have done a search on google, you will know the difference between a passme and a supercard :P But, a passme is a piece of hardware that lets you use the supercard. Making the DS think it is a normal DS game. You can also use Flashme instead of a passme.

I'm not going to tell you how to run "free games" that is copywrite infringement. The Supercard is designed to allow you to run homebrew and backups of software you already own.

There is not an easy way for the average user to make these backups, but they can be found if you search in the right places. However, to request them on here is in breach of the terms and conditions of the board (I think) due to the fact that you can also run games that you do not legally own.

As for "hacking" games. Do you mean making trainers, editing levels/maps, etc? I think that it would be beyond someone who is only just entering the scene and has (aparently) little knowledge of how the hardware works, let alone the software.

Any more questions should be able to be answered using the search function (as would all the ones you have asked so far)
