PRESS RELEASE: Pro-level game training software and hardware ‘toolkit’ will be available to hackers Worldwide, very soon

Pro-level game training software and hardware ‘toolkit’ will be available to hackers Worldwide, very soon.

Hot on the heels of the release of Datel’s Action Replay DS game enhancer will be a fully featured game-training solution titled ‘Trainer Toolkit’ which will allow people with sufficient technical knowledge (hackers) to create their own Action Replay DS codes for the exciting new platform.

An ‘in-house’ version of the trainer toolkit is already being used by Datel’s hackers in the UK and US to create amazing Action Replay codes for all the DS’s hottest titles and will very soon be available to buy as ‘Trainer Toolkit’ with ALL its pro-level features still available.

Does Action Replay DS include any game-training features?

No. For reasons obvious to anyone who’s been involved in hacking over the last few years, game-training functionality is not something that the majority of Action Replay DS users will want or need. Additionally, because the trainer requires another piece of hardware (known as the Dev board) which runs in the GBA port on the DS, inclusion in Action Replay DS would have pushed the price up considerably and meant that we could not offer Action Replay DS at the fantastic value £19.99/$24.99 price point

What features will Trainer Toolkit include?

The Trainer Toolkit will be available as a boxed product including:

- ‘Dev-board’ card which inserts into the GBA port on the DS - including a high-speed USB 2.0 port for rapid dumping of memory (a full 4Mb dump takes around 20 seconds, subsequent searches can take only a couple of seconds).
- ‘Game Trainer’ PC software CD.
- Action Replay DS ‘Trainer Card’ which inserts into the DS cartridge.
* Action Replay DS Game Trainer features:

<center>(Note: This screenshot shows the in-house version of the software. A fully refined version with refined interface and possible even more features will be included with the general release version!)</center></a>

- Intelligent search with all standard expressions (equal to, not equal to, greater than, less than, inside range, outside range, incremented by etc) against previous values or a defined value.
- Limit search to specified memory range.
- Multiple search types (8, 16, 32, 64bit and floating point).
- Search history window with full ‘rollback’ to any search result.
- Text search, find & replace.
- Add and save search areas.
- Whole projects can be saved and reloaded.
- Add codes to the ‘Run-list’ - a built in Action Replay engine so that you can test your codes real-time.
- ‘Poke’ values ‘one time’ to addresses in RAM.
- All code types (16, 32bit etc.) can be run simultaneously in the Run-list.
- ‘Watch locations’ window.
- Disassembly view.
- Hex view (with real time auto-refresh).
- Upload and download binaries.
- Update trainer firmware.
- Wizard based ‘Beginner Mode’ for people new to the scene.

How hard is it to hack Action Replay DS codes using Trainer Toolkit?

Those familiar with game ‘hacking’ will find the Trainer Toolkit to be the most feature rich and powerful hacking system they have ever used, complete with all the functionality they have come to expect from the scene’s best trainers and should instantly feel at home with the system.

Those new to hacking will obviously find the learning curve a lot steeper but not in accessible. The official release of Trainer Toolkit will include full documentation and tutorials on how to get into this fascinating scene and as ever, forums and websites around the world will be available to offer support to newcomer hackers.

The ‘Trainer Toolkit’ software even includes a ‘Beginner Mode’ wizard which performs intuitive step-by-step comparison searches Having read the tutorial documentation a first-time ‘hacker’ is likely to be able produce their first basic codes like ‘Infinite Ammo’ or ‘Infinite Lives’ within a few minutes. Of course, creating those ‘killer’ codes is a totally different story requiring an in depth understanding of how games work and can be hacked that can only come from years of experience! The road is long but it certainly starts with Trainer Toolkit.

lol how games work, i wonder is this why most ps2/gc codes made by experinced hackers either dont work correctly or corrupt data.

well i know thanks to making my own codes and editing CJs codes that they for some reason set values stupidly way too high and makes the game feck up.

Im waiting for the DS trainer kit to come out as ive seen loads of codes for me to make that datel havent:

Resident Evil DS
Mario 64 DS
Rayman
New Super Smash Bros

as/when i get more DS games (depending on cash) ill make even more.

Youre wrong about Mario 64 DS. I've been using the AR on this game since I first got my AR DS on Tuesday. I dont know about the others but there are a boat load of codes already pre-loaded on the AR and you can update it in a jiffy using Datels RSS Code Manager software.

????? im wrong in the fact that most (almost all) datel codes are set way to high and cause problems with games.

youll be supprised how many requests ive had for PS2 and GC and now the DS is having very few codes, Ive been checking the Updates and not many codes available for the games.

like i said ill wait for the trainer kit and you watch the Mario DS codes i make that Datel Havent.

Does anyone have this yet that can answer questions about it?

1. Can you input your own codes? For example, can you input existing AR Codes already created then run them "real-time" to "test" them?

2. Once you are "testing" a code can you disconnect the dev board from the PC and continue to play the game with your code still running?

3. Can you "test" multiple codes?

Basicly I'm looking for a GBA version of the AR for DS (which I own) for use with a flashcart. Specificly the DS-X.

Thanks for any input!

1) I own the Trainer Toolkit, and the device has a active run list... This feature acts just like the normal Action Replay for DS for you to test your codes...

And no they dont currently make one for Gameboy Advance for the DS. I mean your DS-X idea (there no such thing)...

For those you would have to high tech knowledge of electronics and develope your own dev board... Dev board means Developer Board just so you know, and usually you either have to make own or buy a homemade one...

BE CAREFUL HOWEVER making or buying a preowned one, a wrong connection could permanently damage your DS, or game!!

But the concept is very much the same for the Gameboy codes...

2) No you must have the device running at all times... To make this run without the dev board you must enter the codes into the action replay DS like you would any game...

3) Again yes this device is just like a Action Replay...

To make the device work for you, you CANNOT buy it and expect it to work without additional devices!!

For this trainer to work you MUST ALSO OWN a Action Replay for DS!!

The DS will NOT recognize the trainer without the Action Replay... The Action Replay has software built into it to check for the dev board when it boots... AS they have to work together...

Thanks for the info, but that was almost 2 years ago... :)

Yes, there is NO WAY to the use the trainer board with a flash cart.

Luckly, we now have flash carts with their own built in AR.
