Snes DS

I'm sure this is noobish but i was wondering how i can make the .nds version of the 2 snes emulators?(Snezzi, Snes DS) because the MMP cant play the binaries or .gba's

download ndstool.exe I think, it is a file in snesDS(?) named make "nds_.bat", it will output one .gba and one .nds

I never got it work real, I get blackscreen then I run them on my mk3. But it depends on what snes-game u trying, some don´t work.

No wait, SnesDS has it to, but I haven't tested the whole ndstool yet.

I have a Max Media Dock (not quite the same as MMP) and got SnesDS working.

I selected "make_nds.bat" and saved one rom (I used Super Mario World). Don't forget to get "ndstool.exe" by searching this board for a link. I renamed the ".nds" that came out of it into whatever I wished and played it. However, SnesDS has problems (usually graphical) with many games, and you cannot compile more than 1 ".smc" unless I'm wrong.

I don't understand how it would work on the MMD and not the MMP :( Oh well, all I can come up with is a " No rom found" error. However using the same method I can get nesDS to run beautifully. So I don't get how it won't find the roms, it must be the program isn't suited for MMP well enough yet.

Ya, i got it working, its just the files have to be under like 1.5mb which sucks cause most snes games are more than that :S

My MMP still won't play the rom because it says, " No roms found." the only rom that i'm using is super mario world I don't even have any other SNES games on my MMP HDD! Why won't it recognize the rom in the root directory or in the same folder!!!:mad:

I have a Problem, too! I use a SC CF. I used "make nds.bat" and saved Super Mario, too. then i get a nds file. If i put that file on my Card it statrs, some lines appear and thats it. What files have to be on the cart, too? And what do i have to do with that ndstool ?!?

Well i only tried it with a couple roms and the only one i got to work was sim city, what i did was i got NDS tools, put that in the same folder as everything else that snes came with and then i used the makeNDS.bat and put it on my CF and it just worked. Some roms might be too big, try sim city thats the only one i bothered to get working.

you could try the 12-8-05 binaries from the offizial website (http://www.cs.utah.edu/~tew/snesDS/) that was the way i made (super) mario (world) jumping and running on my ds (whit supercard sd)

(extract the binaries from the website and put it into the snesDS folder (overwrite the old binaries) and go on like before)

You dont need the original rom, because that's why you made the NDS, thats the Emulator+Rom in that .NDS file.

well im using MMP that's why, why wont somebody write a compatible version designed for MMP users?!
