One of our staffers decide to take a quick hands-on with Beup for the DS. Essentially, this acts as a MSN client for your DS allowing you to connect and chat to your contacts online MSN. It's at a pretty impressive state and can utilize the DS's touch screen capabilities to communicate - here's a screenshot from a small chat with a Beup and PC user...

Looks great doesn't it ? Why not download Beup now and let us know how you get on!

It's a fun prog, but a bit weird also. I go online with my wi-fi stick or linksys router, both are configed that they give auto ip's. Everything works I can use NintendoWifi connection, but Beup can't get online it can't connect to the stick or router, something with DHCP. This is werid cos it uses the DS internal settings, which I use to go online in NintendoWifi.

I did test it on the neighbours open wi-fi, ;) and the prog indeed works. But would be nice if there was support for my stick and linksys router.

for it's the same. with my usual wifi settings, it doesn't work. then i deactivated the dynamic ip setting and gave my ds an static ip, it worked.

it's a great prog, i like especially the draw-function =)
