View Full Version : Free Game With Wii In Australia
GWN say they contacted three different Toys 'R Us stores across Australia to confirm if the Wii comes with a free launch game. They all reportedly confirmed that if consumers pre-order the wii, there will be an unspecified free game include. Surely if one retailer can offer this, they all can ?
After contacting Toys'R'Us for comment, they have indeed confirmed that everyone will receive a free game with their Wii as part of the package, but they did not know which game this might be. To be sure, we called three different stores, and all said the same thing. Sounds to us like Nintendo might be planning to include Wii Sports, as many have speculated. It would make sense to include this game because it encapsulates what Wii is all about. Not only that, but it shows off how the Wiimote can be used in so many different ways.

Nintendo knows that people aren't going to spend much for this glorified Gamecube so they added a game. lol

lol.
I think its low price will end up working against it anyway. People will see it as a cheap console, not an alternative to a PS3 or 360.

yeah and everyone will get rid of there pc because the PS3 is a computer, just ask sony. i cant wait to try photoshop cs2 on a PS3. and i can't wait to install all my pc games on it. play a little day of defeat source on my PS3, i can't wait. as for the free game, who cares about the Wii anyways... i mean it got more positive feedback during E3 and since then even, but sony is sony, and they will be dominate. i can't wait to buy 2 or 3 PS3's, because you know that they will stop working at some time, i had 3 ps1's all of which stopped working, and i'm on my second PS2 but i don't play it that much anymore so it has lasted longer. none of that matters thought because sony is king of the world, maybe they should hire leo to say that. sony could charge $10,000 and everyone would buy it because it is a playstation. right? and i can't wait to pay anywhere from $60-$100 per game, that is going to be so cool. but hey at least it won't have games like Wii sports right? and zelda, how stupid is that they should put that and the metroid franchise out of there misery. and don't get me started on mario, if the psm magazine loved that game according to the latest issue, but who cares that franchise has been around for way to long, they might as well give mario with the console so that they can get rid of the copies of it they make. wait, what free game do i get when i buy a PS3?

Must be Wii Sports, the "motion controller school", anyway. So peopel can get the feeling of the sensor, how it works, is rating free...blablabla..promotional game. Good for starters, at least is something. Sure I prefer a Zelda bundle :D

i was reading about this on qj and apparently people that live in Australia are posting and are saying they are being told they get to pick a game out of the launch titles, some think that the launch title list to pick from could be small, but it would mean you could probably land a game you wanted. but if the people are being told right then they could pick zelda or metroid or any other launch title. if this is true i hope they do something like that in the US.
