Sorry....I know I'm going to be stoned to death for this, but I haven't heard the term trainers used before in this sense. So I'm not sure how they work, or what their actual purpose is. Anyone want to give a quick noob trainer rant?
Thanks. :D

A trainer is like a Action Replay, but instead of having codes theyre a save.
The save (if ths ds is like xbox) will have infinite cash, energy and ammo so on.
I think you need something like the datel HD for ds which you load the trainer from.
Im not sure tho as ive just ordered my HD and havent got any games that have trainers.
If anyone knows a site that has them id like to look for:
Mario 64 DS (PAL)
Rayman DS (PAL)

A trainer is actually a menu that loads before a game, and lets you enable all kinds of fun little codes/cheats.
The easiest way to run one, is by patching the actual .nds file with it. So that once you boot it up, the trainer menu will appear first. You select your options. Then you start the game.
Sadly, the DS trainer scene seems to just be starting. So there's only like 4 or 5 out there at the moment.

YES desfunk is exactly right.
I remember back in the day, on the amiga scene it was rare to not get a game that wasn't trained.
But ...... back then you were only train(ing) yourself and you couldn't play online.
Cheaters playing ONLiNE StiNKS ........ PERiOD
Im sorry, but this is a subject i feel very strongly about.
WHY DID trainers start hitting the NDS scene ?!
IF you contribute towards online cheating you will be slowly destroying WFC. SiMPLE as, Im not the only person to feel this plz leave your thoughts on the thread named The Art Of Cheating (http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=22650):p
[EDiT] Bit of an off-topic here but ...

Actually, there already is one that can change your amount of cash, your items (also rare items like the mario items) and even change your neightbours and your town. I've made a topic with the link to download the file.
EDIT: Who deleted my topic?!?..

i dont think trainers will pick up on the DS, no point really considering datel have a code based action replay for the DS comming soon.
No patching nothing, i just hope it can boot from say a Max Media Dock or other devices other than the Action Replay GBA cart.

Exactly. I'm hoping that as well. So that you can still use the device even with games that are on a SD card or anything else. I bet at first though, it'll only work with originals of games, then someone will come along and figure out a way to get around that.

well in a way its not impossible.
DS AR has game inserted
DS MMD has game stored inside
so i recon some other kind of loader like Max Overdrive that allows you to use AR codes and select your codes then lists your current ROMS, making sure you select the right game then away you go.
I dont know about DS programming (whish they was a way of learning it) but maybe someone who does and could use the idea and see what happens.
You never know, it cant be impossible, go back to the year 1500's and tell them that man can fly plains at super speeds or man can walk on the moon, it all began with and idea then put into theory and hopefully final product.

youve already been told, you cant ask where to get roms, ive said, all it takes is a mod to see it and you will get banned.
