Castlevania Trainer 255g woe.

The first time I applied the patch, the game works perfectly with trainers.
I have since lost the image.

Recently I patched the game again and, while every other trainer option works fine, the infinite gold doesn't.

You start with 255g and every button you press changes the amount of gold to another value (and return to 255g when you're not pressing any button)

I've been trying for several days with every possible method (all possible combinations of trimrom, fastboot, 1x, 4x, normal, E version, U version, redownloading patch, reaquiring rom image) but I still get this 255g "glitch"

This seem to happen to another person on gbatemp forum.

Does anybody have any clue on what is the problem?

also I am using DSlite with flashme and M3 (I tried my M3 on my friend's DSlite with passkey 2 and getting the same result)

Hold down select, then push up or down on the D-pad and HOLD IT DOWN. After a few seconds, the gold will cycle through the appropriate numbers needed to get through the slot machine doors.

That has nothing to do with the persons above problem o_O

Have you tried finding a fresh dump of the game, one that hasn't been modified at all? And then starting fresh with that?

Actually, I was having the EXACT same problem and I also thought it didn't work. That is until I realized that when you push up or down you have to hold it there for a few seconds before it works.

My bad. I thought he was saying that he was only locked at 255 money. And that random buttons would make it go higher. But i'm gathering you were just talking about the last 3 digits ???

Cause i found that the trainer worked first try for me (and so far it's the ONLY one i've gotten to work).

No he was right.

Mine was locked to just 255g.
Select+up/down messes with the gold slightly but revert back to 255 if you release the button pressed.

His solution works perfectly. Apparently if you hold down select and up/down for a few seconds (it was like about 10 seconds) the infinite money trainer works like it should again.

I just boot the game up again and the gold revert back to 255 with the trainer on, and did the select+up/down for 10 seconds and it works.
