in the root of the stick, make a folder called MP_ROOT, and inside that make one called 100MNV01.
incase u dunno, the root is the first folder.its not the psp folder, so your psp will look like:
X(where x is drive letter)://MP_ROOT/100MNV01/M4V00001.mp4 - your files HAVE to be named like this to work on sony's player. so the next one would end with 2 etc.
or if you dont like sony's player, go on google and search for psplayerMT. spell it just like that.
download and install like a homebrew and run your file simple.

im not sure about ram audio, but it should play the mpg video. the reason its not playing your mpg is because its not scaled properly. the size of the video has to be 480x240 or under, or videos will stick.

you should find a program that scales videos.

I just downgraded to 1.5 and now find that my PSP doesn't see my movies on the memory card.
I use PSPvideo9 to convert and copy over the movies and I've double checked the naming conventions (I:\MP_ROOT\100MNV01\MAQ10010.MP4) which seem okay but my PSP still says there are no movies??
If I use devhook to emulate 2.71 I can see and play them, what gives?
Anyhelp greatly appreciated

yea, your folder is wrong, for the MAQxxxxx.mp4 style of naming, the folder it has to be in is 100ANV01
files named in the style: M4Vxxxxx.mp4 need to be put in the folder you got there, 100MNV01.
so now, try putting the MAQ one in 100ANV01 rather than 100MNV01, that will work for you. just make the new folder in:
X:/MP_ROOT/100MNV01
and also
X:/MP_ROOT/100ANV01 - your MAQ file goes here.
and thats that!
tell me how it goes!

no joy I'm afraid.
Both of the movie files I have on the MS are visible in emulated 2.71 but not on 1.5!!
If there visible in 2.71 then surely thtat proves the naming convention is correct so is there any reason why 1.5 wouldn't detect them??
thanks for your help so far

hmm thats very strange behaviour. try to restore default settings or as a last resort , upgrade to 2.00 and downgrade. also, please tell me where exactly you got the psp from. the USA? UK?
there is a serial underneath the psp on a little sticker, ending like PSP-1001 or very similar. please tell me that end bit, becuase i need it to see if you can downgrade from 2.00.

I tried resetting to default settings but no joy, I'm far to lazy to upgrade and downgrade so I guess I'll just be booting into 2.71 to view my movies, not that bad really.
Its a UK PSP from giga pack bundle in argos with serial ending PSP1003.

well you could very well use the 2.0 downgrade, but if you want, you can always download the 2.71 downgrade. good thinking! dont upgrade past there though!
