HDLoader and Backups

I can run HDLoader just fine using the .elf hack. funfunfun
I mainly modded this thing just to see if i could. I prefer Xboxs' just for the simplicity and functionality of the mods. Nothing like a full blown Media Center/Xbox.

Anyhow, here's my trouble.

I have a scratched disk that wont load any longer in my PS2. I can, however, browse the contents on my PC.

Now, with CD/DVD if i have a scratch that makes it skip, i just back it up using low speeds and presto, it works again.

I want to do it with this disk as well, but im not willing to hard mod my system since i play FFXI (I know geek, suddup) but, the HDLoader doesnt cause any online troubles. (Using authentic PS2 HDD).

Well, I have established that the disk wont read in the PS2 (50001), is there a way for me to do a 1~1 of the game and load the back up through HDLoader without a modchip?

Wow,i think the only thing you can do with the disc is to play frisbee with it! ;)
Can you make a image from the Disc on your pc?
When yes,back it up to your pc.
After this you must install the harddrive to you pc.
When use Winhiip und move the image from the pc hdd to your ps2 hdd.
I think it must work,but of course i dont know it,your disc is really hard destroyed!

I appreciate the feedback, that seems like a ton of work. I have made an img/backup of the disk already (I love Alcohol). I think im just going buy a flip top replacement top w/ some kind of swap magic. It makes the most sense to me right now anyway.

Use a modchip in combination with a harddrive this the better way!;)
So you can save your discs and of course your dvd drive is saved to!;)
SwapMagic is the biggest **** i have ever seen!
For backups and HDD Support use chips like Dms4pro,Matrix and Crystal this chips save your harddrive (ATAD PATCH etc.) and of course your drive is safety to! ;)
