Halo Combat Evolved wont copy

Well im trying to copy halo 1 on to my hdd but for some reason it wont finish copying to the hdd it seems to stop at 10min 11sec im using dvd2xbox 0.7.6 and when i copy it im losing all the space but when i go to my files the only files there are empty folders and the default.xbe and the size of the folder is like 3.2mb but the space is still gone anybody got any suggestions thanks for any replies

If I never installed the game can I just make a copy?
