Help on my psp. Black screen. it's not lcd problem

everytime i turn on my psp the screen is always black and the power switch is on. it doesn't start up. i think this happened when i was playing gta and i turned it off (not fully restarted) stored in my case and carried it in my bag. when i took it out and turned it on, the game frozed and i found my memory stick lying around in the case. and i think the problem started there. When i got it to work again, i was playing the game until i recieved an error message saying to return this to sony. when i restarted the psp, the screen is black. i doubt my psp is bricked (or it could be). or maybe something is wrong with the system itself?

I'm not sure if i need to return this to my retail store or to sony yet, and i don't really want to pay also.

no, the system doesn't turn on at all. and you can't control volume or anything. and the buttons don't work either. the green light turns on, but u can't pretty much do anything. my guess is that one of the start up files has been disrupted. one of my friends asked me if i put it next to any kind of magnet, i didn't. so i don't really know what's really wrong with it.

try selling it or get a new mainboard...
or give it to me i need some parts.. but better sell it at ebay youll get more money!

yo there,

you know when you turn your psp on, only the green light turns on right? your mem stick light doesnt flash at all and all of a sudden the psp turns itself off?

if the same exact thing has happened to you, im afraid your psp is bricked, and there is nothing really that can be done yet. if it is, sorry dude, but you will need to send it to sony, who will upgrade it to 2.7, and charge you a lot for it.

anyway, i hope you find some way of getting back a 1.5, thats if your psp acts like the one in the video.....

Was you playing a gta iso at the time because my psp froze when my bro tryed to access tekken iso in the wrong way and he had to take out the battery and when he put it back in and turned on the psp BYE BYE PSP:( :( :( . The green light just stays on and the screen is blank green light stays on for about 23 seconds and then thats it

Mess around with the ac and battery like take out that battery and turn it on then turn it on with both the ac and battery then you can get a friends (or whoever) battery that you know that works on there psp and see if it works on your psp. If it does it was a battery problem.

hmmm i think i might have had the same prob. lol were u upgrading Devhook or trying out a new firmware for devhook? Because something similar like that happened to me when i tried a new firmware with Devhook, after turning it off and reboot like usual for some reason i dunno but i think its the Devhook's fourth level that is sending wrong signals to the LCD display, so the screen is black but the the sounds/buttons and everything still loads and u can hear the games loading.

anyways the solution i had was simply press the brightness adjustment button and ur good to go:eek:

When I turn on my PSP The power light turns green and stays green, the backlight on the screen turns on, and the memory stick light blinks a little every few seconds. Recovery mode still works. Did I brick it!?!?!?:eek:

my psp turns on and everything but the screen doesnt turn on at all and i can still hear the clicking when i press a button

Same thing happened to mine. Does any1 know how to get to the recovery mode. I tried the R trigger and startup but it doesn't work. I really need suggestions

To fix the problem with your psp's you need a pandora battery and a magic memory stick if you o the person who mods your psp have one just do the same thing you do when install the custom firmware I have fixed several blank screens with the pandora battery :D and if someone knows how to fix the blank screen in a psp 3000 and the psp 2000 TA-088 Motherboard please give me a hint :confused:

Try taking out the battery and running it from the Charger. Not working? Take out the memory stick, retry. Still not working? It's broken. Get a new one.
