The other day I picked up my PSP to play a little WSOP and the UMD drive won't read the disc. It won't read any of the UMDs I have. The loading circle is present in the lower right hand corner but the disc never loads. The disc also does sipn but only for a little while. The PSP hasn't been dropped or anything since the last time I used it successfully.

Anyone experiance this or know how to fix it?

and i havent any idea why or how to fix it, sorry. I did contact $ony tho and they told me to buy another P$P. So now that you cant play bought and paid for games your only course of action is to play downloaded pirate games. Since you paid good money to $ony for a quality product and they sold you a piece of crap you have the moral high ground. So go to another topic on this board and learn about devhook and related things and play to your hearts content knowing that you are the "good guy" in this situation.

Try to clean the laser head with a cotton stick and pure alchohol, it might be dirty.
If that fails to solve the problem, then probably the laser is broken.
You can find a replacement ex. http://www.microportables.com/servlet/the-49/sony-psp-lens,-psp/Detail
but you need to have some technical knowledge to change it.
