Hi

I found a site selling:
TwistTool & Swap Magic 3.8 CODER Set

And I asked loads of questions, mainly will this swap disc work on my V8 PS2 and will it work without a mod chip.

They replied, yes this will work with your version 8 PS2, and does not require any modchip at all.

is this true, ive copied a game and tried it, and i get a message please insert a PS2 disc.

Ive now got a chipped PS2 and the game works perfect.

Can anyone tell me if TwistTool & Swap Magic 3.8 CODER Set needs a modchip.

Thanks

No swap magic does not require a modchip I used to use it before I got my modchip and I can see you now have a modchip so I wouldn't bother worrying about swap magic. And are you sure you used the right disc there is one CD disc for booting CD backups and a DVD one for DVD backups that could have been the problem.

yea i made sure i used the dvd disc for dvd games.

ive just installed in onto my mates slim line ps2 and it worked, so ive no idea why it wouldnt work on my version 8 ps2.

like you said, doesnt matter now that i have a chipped ps2.
