Messing up a 360 DVD Drive

Ok lets say I had a Toshiba drive and I tried to flash it when this first came out IE hex edit the key in, and some how I fucked it up put the wrong key in or put it in the wrong place. Now I know its fucked up for the 360 but I could just reflash it could I not. THIS IS ALL HYPOTHEOTICAL I actually have a Hitachi just curious
